Y'all... I just noticed that I've been sitting on this for a little too long. I finished watching this Kdrama, Duty After School, at the last weekend of April and the show was so good, thrilling and captivating, to the point that I couldn't afford to pause or miss any scene. I binge-watched everything within that weekend, but I've been wondering if I should recommend this to anyone.
That's ironic, right?
Hah! I'm not even kidding.
Koreans know how to pull the strings and hit us hard with the kinda shows they have been releasing this year. This show dragged me through a rollercoaster of emotions. You will have a really good laugh, you will get freaked out, you will get pissed and you will surely get wet eyes. And, all these start from the very first episode.
Netizens went haha with the release of each episode and I wouldn't want to be that bloke that drops spoilers all over the place, but what I must say is that the second half of the script for this show was probably written by someone that derives joy in giving viewers a very depressing twist and turn. So, if your heart really can't deal with the serial death of 'multiple' onscreen characters, you would have to rethink adding this to your watchlist.

The show gives All Of Us Are Dead vibes without the zombie or virus side of the show. Although, the number of major characters that survived in this show makes AOUAD feel like a joke. And, since it has only 10 episodes, you can already guess that A LOT happened within each of the episodes. The story is based on a 'legendary webtoon', but I've never been a big fan of webtoons and that's good because I jumped into this show without knowing much about what to expect.
The show is primarily divided into a two-part series with the first part consisting of 6 episodes while the second part consists of 4 episodes. The first part of the show is predominantly man vs alien warfare. The battle was intense and very direct. While the second part was humans against humans. In some ways, it takes us back to the fact that humans can be vile and diabolical beyond measure.
I enjoyed this show. The first part gives you all the fun and thrill you want from a sci-fi show, while the second part will surely drag you through the mud of depressing emotions as you watch humans do inhumane stuff to their fellow humans. Fans didn't particularly enjoy the depressing side of the story.
The average rating for the first part is 8.9 while that of the second part is 7.1. To be fair, I also didn't like the ending. It's like you took a whole 9 episodes to create this unique bond for the characters and the storyline, but everything came crashing in just a few minutes of the final episode.
That's exactly why I find it hard to recommend the show to anyone. But, as far as I'm concerned, If I were to go back in time, I will still binge-watch this show like crazy. Hehe.
