There is nothing serious here... It's not like my usual choice of Kdramas which are centred on crime, action, history, business, investigation and co.
I decided to watch this Kdrama, One Dollar Lawyer, as a way of taking a break from the serious stuff that usually makes it to my watchlist. That goes without saying that this is purely comical. Of course, they did a good job and I genuinely enjoyed every bit of it.

Drama: One Dollar Lawyer
Network: SBS
Genre: Comedy, Law, Drama.
Episodes: 12
Release Date: Sept 23 - Nov 11, 2022
As you can see, the show has only 12 episodes but I will gladly take 20 episodes of this without feeling bored. Netizens are already dịgging around to know if there will be any word about a second season, but, as far as I can tell, there is no word about that at the moment.
What I know as a fact is that the 12 episodes we got in this show weren't the original plan. The show had to end at that because the writer and the production company came to some disagreement and we are yet to see how things will unfold. Nonetheless, the whole disagreement didn't have much effect on the rating I have for this drama. Besides, they were able to fit so much into the 13 episodes and the ending was also satisfactory.
A brief synopsis of the show;
One Dollar Lawyer is a legal drama that features an efficient lawyer who left his job as a Prosector to run a law firm as an Attorney. The unique thing about this attorney is that his consultation fee only amounts to $1 (1000 Won). A typical legal drama would have a heavy and stressful court scene, but this particular one didn't have a lot of stuff going on in law Courts.
There are so many things to enjoy about this show and the Cast is the best part of it. Anyone that has been an avid Kdrama fan will surely get to see some familiar faces on this project.

The lead male and lead female actor in this project already worked together on an action thriller which aired in 2021. Making a reunion in a comical project like this was an interesting one to see. They aced their role on this one and the chemistry they have as colleagues are quite visible.
The intro to each episode gave me the impression that the show was an adaptation of a webtoon or some comic book, but upon further research, I noticed that there is no such webtoon out there. Well, I enjoyed this show while it lasted and I'm back to seeing my usual 'serious' Kdramas. Haha.
