For a while now, I have been watching only series because well, for me, I have a preference for them, but a few days ago, I visited a family friend and we decided to watch a movie.
We spent a few minutes searching around for the “perfect” movie and we finally came across the movie “ambulance”.
At first glance, I thought the movie was something like 911 or grey's anatomy which were movies about doctors or paramedics, but a few minutes into it, I realized that I was totally wrong which was a bit annoying because I love doctor movies and series.
Now before, I go into my thoughts about this movie, let’s get into a brief synopsis.
A BRIEF SYNOPSIS OF THE MOVIE “AMBULANCE”
The movie ambulance was directed by Michael Bay and released on the 18th of March 2022 and it features actors like Jake Gyllenhaal, Eiza González, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.
The whole premise of the movie surrounds Will Sharp who is a veteran in need of money to cover his wife's medical bills, he then decides to team up with his adoptive brother to rob a bank of 32 million dollars, but the robbery goes wrong and they ended up having to hijack an ambulance with an injured cop and an EMT nurse.
I guess the name “Ambulance” is taken from the fact that they spend half the movie inside an ambulance being chased by the cops.
A BREAKDOWN OF THE MOVIE
Before I go into a breakdown of this movie, I will state that there might be spoilers ahead, so if you are interested in watching this movie based on the synopsis, then you should stop here but if you are interested in a breakdown, let’s get into it.
The movie starts with Will Sharp desperate for money for his wife's medical bill and asking his brother for money, his brother Danny Sharp who is a criminal decides to let his brother in on a score that will require them to rob a bank of 32 million dollars.
In desperation, Will agrees to be the getaway driver even though he had no experience in it and everything was going well in the robbery until shots were fired at a cop who visited the bank at the time of the robbery because he liked a girl in the bank.
At that point, they had no choice but to hijack an ambulance while shoving the injured cop into it and holding an EMT nurse hostage to keep the cop alive because, without the cop as a hostage, the ambulance would get shot down.
They proceed to do a whole cop chase while trying to figure out what to do next to escape the whole situation, but unknowing to them the EMT nurse had a phone that she uses to tip the police about their plans and moves.
They try their best to flee from the police, even to the point of spraying the ambulance a different color and going to their hideout spot but, since the nurse keeps tipping the police, nothing they do works out.
The movie ends with a lot of deaths and a rescue, but I won’t be revealing who dies or who survives.
MY OPINION ABOUT THIS MOVIE
Well, first of all, I feel like the name was very unnecessary, it didn’t tell me anything about the movie and maybe that was the whole idea but, it made me excited about watching a “doctor” movie and then tanked my expectations.
Secondly, I feel like the whole movie is something that has been acted over and over again which made me feel like I was watching something that I have watched before; the whole premise of a robbery gone wrong is very cliché and sometimes, I just want them to succeed and live happily ever after.
Thirdly, I hated a lot of the characters in this movie especially Will, he felt like a hypocrite most of the time, and a lot of things would have been avoided if he let them kill the EMT nurse, in my opinion.
Finally, the ending pissed me off and it affected my whole night; no jokes, to me, it was a good ending but then again, the whole movie wasn’t all that.
IN CONCLUSIONS
Will I advise you to watch this movie? If you are like me, that will be a big no, I didn’t enjoy it, I complained all through it and it got my blood boiling and while that might be a good thing to some people, it isn’t to me.
For ratings, I will give it a 3 over 10, a lot of things could have been done differently to make it worth it and it wasn’t.

Desde hace un tiempo, sólo veo series porque bueno, para mí, tengo preferencia por ellas, pero hace unos días, visité a un amigo de la familia y decidimos ver una película.
Estuvimos unos minutos buscando la película "perfecta" y finalmente dimos con la película "ambulancia".
A primera vista, pensé que la película era algo así como 911 o Anatomía de Grey, que eran películas sobre médicos o paramédicos, pero a los pocos minutos me di cuenta de que estaba totalmente equivocada, lo cual fue un poco molesto porque me encantan las películas y series de médicos.
Ahora, antes de entrar en mis pensamientos sobre esta película, vamos a entrar en una breve sinopsis.
UNA BREVE SINOPSIS DE LA PELÍCULA "AMBULANCIA"
La película ambulancia fue dirigida por Michael Bay y estrenada el 18 de marzo de 2022 y cuenta con actores como Jake Gyllenhaal, Eiza González y Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.
Toda la premisa de la película gira en torno a Will Sharp que es un veterano que necesita dinero para cubrir las facturas médicas de su esposa, entonces decide aliarse con su hermano adoptivo para robar un banco de 32 millones de dólares, pero el robo sale mal y terminan teniendo que secuestrar una ambulancia con un policía herido y una enfermera EMT.
Supongo que el nombre de "Ambulancia" se debe a que se pasan la mitad de la película dentro de una ambulancia perseguida por la policía.
UN DESGLOSE DE LA PELÍCULA
Antes de entrar en un desglose de esta película, voy a decir que puede haber spoilers por delante, así que si usted está interesado en ver esta película sobre la base de la sinopsis, entonces usted debe parar aquí, pero si usted está interesado en un desglose, vamos a entrar en ella.
La película comienza con Will Sharp desesperado por dinero para la factura médica de su esposa y pidiendo dinero a su hermano, su hermano Danny Sharp que es un criminal decide dejar a su hermano en un golpe que requerirá que roben un banco de 32 millones de dólares.
Desesperado, Will acepta ser el conductor de la huida a pesar de no tener experiencia en ello y todo iba bien en el atraco hasta que disparan a un policía que visitaba el banco en el momento del atraco porque le gustaba una chica del banco.
En ese momento, no tuvieron más remedio que secuestrar una ambulancia mientras metían al policía herido en ella y mantenían como rehén a una enfermera de la EMT para mantener al policía con vida porque, sin el policía como rehén, la ambulancia sería derribada.
Proceden a hacer toda una persecución policial mientras intentan averiguar qué hacer a continuación para escapar de toda la situación, pero sin que ellos sepan que la enfermera de la EMT tenía un teléfono que utiliza para avisar a la policía de sus planes y movimientos.
Hacen todo lo posible por huir de la policía, hasta el punto de rociar la ambulancia de otro color y dirigirse a su escondite pero, como la enfermera sigue avisando a la policía, nada de lo que hacen funciona.
La película termina con un montón de muertes y un rescate, pero no voy a desvelar quién muere ni quién sobrevive.
MI OPINION SOBRE ESTA PELICULA
Bueno, en primer lugar, siento que el nombre era muy innecesario, no me decía nada sobre la película y tal vez esa era la idea, pero, me hizo emocionarme por ver una película de "doctores" y luego hundió mis expectativas.
En segundo lugar, siento que toda la película es algo que se ha actuado una y otra vez lo que me hizo sentir que estaba viendo algo que he visto antes; toda la premisa de un robo que sale mal es muy cliché y a veces, sólo quiero que tengan éxito y vivan felices para siempre.
En tercer lugar, odié a muchos de los personajes de esta película, especialmente a Will, se sintió como un hipócrita la mayor parte del tiempo, y muchas cosas se habrían evitado si hubiera dejado que mataran a la enfermera de la EMT, en mi opinión.
Por último, el final me cabreó y me afectó toda la noche; sin bromas, para mí, fue un buen final pero, de nuevo, toda la película no lo fue.
EN CONCLUSIÓN
¿Te aconsejo que veas esta película? Si eres como yo, será un gran no, no la disfruté, me quejé durante toda ella y me hizo hervir la sangre y aunque eso puede ser bueno para algunas personas, no lo es para mí.
Para las valoraciones, le daré un 3 sobre 10, se podrían haber hecho muchas cosas de forma diferente para que mereciera la pena y no fue así.
