Collateral Damage (2002) - Movie Review.

Review by @kingobonnaya · 1512d · of Collateral Damage

Collateral damage is a 2002 American movie that tells about terrorism even before terrosim got to be a terrific plague in our world today. In this movie Arnold acted as a real heroic firefighter who fought to avenge the death of his wife and kid. Every action scene in this movie was adrenaline.

This movie is about a family man and firefighter Gregory Brewer (Arnold Schwarzenegger) looses his family in a terrorism bombing at the plaza of the Colombian Consulate building in Los Angeles, killing nine people, by a Colombian terrorist group.

And when the Officials in charge of the investigation of his family's death seemed nonchalant and justice was not forthcoming. Gregory takes the bull by the horns and flies down to Monpos, Colombia to personally hunt down Claudio ( the terrorist leader) and avenge the death of his wife and kid. He escapes several murder attempts, survives a rough fall down a waterfall, breaks out of jail and tracks down his quarry after he poised as a Canadian mechanic Sean Armstrong to penetrate the guerrilla territory, kill a lot of people, and blow up a lot of stuff.

Brewer succeeds in infiltrating his enemies (Claudio's) headquarters and plants a bomb to kill him, but he was eventually caught after he tried to save a woman, Selena, and her kid, Mauro from being incarcerated in one of the blast which he had set up for Claudio.

Brewer eventually escapes his enemy camp with the help of Selena and he brings her back to the state department in Washington DC to help capture Claudio.

Unknowing to them Selena was working with Claudio and had plans of blowing up the state department. Brewer finds out after Selena excuses herself to the restroom leaving the bomb behind. Her son Mauro declines coming along with her and she Selena makes the familiar signature gesture as the masked man who claimed to be El Lobo in a tape. It was then that Brewer realised that she was the Wolf all along, and Claudio her husband served as the figurehead.

The twist in this movie is totally unexpecting. With every scene the movie keeps your adrenaline pumping, your heart racing and your curiosity wanting to know what happened next. It is a movie every action lover will love to see.
