¡Hola Hola Comunidad! ✨, en un intento desesperado por distraer mi cabeza del lío al que estuvo expuesta la semana pasada, y al lío me refiero a lo sucedido con mis pasantías, decidí tomarme unas cuantas horas para disfrutar de ésta recomendación hecha por mi buena amiga @eldiariodelys, quien limitó su recomendación a algo tan simple como “tienes que ver ésta serie” argumentando que era una trama que seguramente iba con mi estilo, no me dijo más nada aunque yo ya sabía más o menos de que iba la historia porque tik tok ya me la había recomendado, aún así ¿Estaba yo preparada para lo que vería? 🤔, POR SUPUESTO QUE NO 🤣🤣, y justo por eso ha sido para mí imposible no venir a hablar de ésta serie, así que hoy les daré mi opinión sobre My Lady Jane 👑💕.
Hello Hello Community! ✨, in a desperate attempt to distract my head from the mess it was exposed to last week, and by mess I mean what happened with my internship, I decided to take a few hours to enjoy this recommendation made by my good friend @eldiariodelys, who limited her recommendation to something as simple as "you have to watch this series" arguing that it was a plot that surely went with my style, she didn't tell me anything else even though I already knew more or less what the story was about because tik tok had already recommended it to me, even so was I prepared for what I would see? 🤔, OF COURSE NOT 🤣🤣, and that's exactly why it's been impossible for me not to come and talk about this series, so today I'll give you my opinion about My Lady Jane 👑💕.

Lady Jane Grey es conocida en la historia de la monarquía inglesa como la reina de los 9 días, y es que al morir su primo el Rey Edward VI, ella fue coronada como reina de Inglaterra tal y como lo estipuló el testamento del fallecido rey, sin embargo su reinado solo duró 9 días pues al tomar el control del reino la princesa Mary (media hermana del Rey Edward VI), Jane fue acusada de alta traición y posteriormente fue ejecutada junto a su esposo Lord Guilford Dudley. Ahora bien, ¿qué pasaría si éstos hechos no se hubiesen desarrollado de la forma en que lo hicieron?, ¿qué pasaría si reinterpretara dicha historia? 🤭, pues esa es justamente la premisa de ésta serie, en donde personas cercanas al trono ansían la corona y están dispuestas a hacer lo que sea por ella, dándole así un destino diferente al Rey Edward VI, pero sobre todo una historia donde Jane Grey y su esposo Guilford Dudley no mueren, y deben luchar por su amor, por su vida y además de todo ésto, como si ya no fuese suficiente 🤣, también deben luchar por el reino.

Lo primero que debes saber es que en ésta serie casi nada es lo que parece 🤣, y no debes tomartela en serio o si no corres el riesgo de llevarte una pésima experiencia 🤣, y no porque la serie sea mala porque para nada se trata de eso, sino que es una historia que como bien lo dice la sinopsis, se trata de una reinterpretacion de un hecho histórico, y por ende se toma muchísimas libertades creativas, la trama incluye drama, amor, guerra, escándalo, personajes racializados, y además… tiene varios ✨ plot twists ✨ que obviamente no te contaré porque se perdería todo el chiste de mantener el misterio 🤣🤣, sobre todo porque el primer giro de trama interesante se da en la primera media hora del capítulo 1, así que seré buena con todos ustedes y no diré nada que se pueda tomar como spoiler, y como recomendación si la quieren ver, no vean ningún trailer 🤣.

Ahora bien, la serie está basada en un libro del mismo nombre de las autoras Brodi Ashton, Cynthia Hand y Jodi Meadows, sin embargo como adaptación literaria no sabría decir que tan buena o no es, así que solo me limitare a juzgarla como serie y ya 😌, y vaya que hay cosas que decir 🤣. La historia cuenta con un narrador, y honestamente es el acierto más grande de toda la serie, no solo porque es alguien que te acompaña durante todos los acontecimientos y te llega a explicar ciertas cosas, sino que se sorprende con algunas puestas en escena y hasta cierto punto se ríe de la misma historia, haciendo chistes y dando los comentarios que quizás tú como espectador estás pensando o diciendole a la pantalla 🤣, con lo cual a mí personalmente me parece que en ésta serie supieron usar de excelente manera el recurso de narrador.
Now, the series is based on a book of the same name by the authors Brodi Ashton, Cynthia Hand and Jodi Meadows, however as a literary adaptation I can't say how good it is or not, so I'll just limit myself to judge it as a series and that's it 😌, and there are some things to say 🤣. The story has a narrator, and honestly is the greatest success of the whole series, not only because it is someone who accompanies you during all the events and you get to explain certain things, but is surprised with some staging and to some extent laughs at the same story, making jokes and giving comments that perhaps you as a viewer are thinking or saying to the screen 🤣, with which to me personally it seems that in this series they knew how to use the resource of narrator in an excellent way.
La serie cuenta con un total de 8 episodios, y cada uno tiene una nueva forma de entretenerte y mantenerte al filo de la trama, sin embargo para mí los últimos episodios se sienten un poco más flojos que el resto, sobre todo el episodio 7 que es básicamente donde (si mal no recuerdo) la princesa Mary toma el reino, capturan a Jane y se desarrollan éstos eventos más bien políticos, y que están completamente justificados porque de eso va la historia, pero se siente en una tonalidad distinta a como se venía narrando la trama, más lenta, dentro de todo con menos drama, y ciertamente a mí me parecieron los capítulos más largos, pese a que creo que todos tenían la misma duración, así que fueron los que dentro de todo más me costó ver, aunque como bien dije, la serie en general es sumamente entretenida 🤣.
The series has a total of 8 episodes, and each one has a new way of entertaining you and keeping you on the edge of the plot, however for me the last few episodes feel a bit weaker than the rest, especially episode 7 which is basically where (if I remember correctly) Princess Mary takes over the kingdom, Jane is captured and these rather political events unfold, and they are completely justified because that's what the story is about, but it feels in a different tone to how the plot was narrated, slower, with less drama, and certainly to me they seemed the longest episodes, even though I think they all had the same length, so they were the ones I had the hardest time watching, although as I said, the series in general is extremely entertaining 🤣.

Obviamente que si es una historia que yo estoy reseñando es porque tiene romance 🤣🤣, eso es básicamente mi sello personal, y ésta seria vaya que tiene romance 🤣. Lady Jane Grey como personaje individual me parece magnífica, es una protagonista con mucho ímpetu, que no teme dar su opinión así la sala entera éste en desacuerdo con ella, es inteligente, astuta y leal hasta la muerte, y la actriz que la caracteriza logra hacer un trabajo excepcional con su actuación, de verdad logra transmitir cada una de las características que forman parte de su personaje, incluso la obstinación y terquedad. Porque si hay algo que también define a éste personaje, es la terquedad y la falta de toma de decisiones razonables (en algunos momentos), que justamente la llevan a ciertos escenarios de peligro inminente 🤷🏻♀️, aún así desde el inicio logras conectar con ella y empatizas muchísimo con su historia.
Obviously if it's a story I'm reviewing it's because it has romance 🤣🤣, that's basically my personal stamp, and this one has romance 🤣. Lady Jane Grey as an individual character I find magnificent, she's a protagonist with a lot of drive, she's not afraid to give her opinion even if the whole room disagrees with her, she's intelligent, cunning and loyal to the death, and the actress that characterizes her manages to do an exceptional job with her performance, she really manages to convey each of the characteristics that are part of her character, even the stubbornness and stubbornness. Because if there is something that also defines this character, it is her stubbornness and lack of reasonable decision making (at times), which leads her to certain scenarios of imminent danger 🤷🏻♀️, yet from the beginning you connect with her and empathise with her story.
No obstante, no podemos hablar de Lady Jane sin hablar de Lord Guilford, el apuesto pero arrogante esposo de Jane, a quienes de hecho obligaron a casarse, pero quienes desde el momento uno tienen una química increíble 🤭, lo cual de hecho hace que yo amara a ésta pareja, porque en serio tienen una muy buena química, los actores de verdad hicieron un trabajo increíble en representar esa atracción instantánea que ambos personajes sintieron por el otro. Aunque esto de hecho no marca el desarrollo de ésta relación, lo que a mí parecer hace que ésta sea mi pareja favorita del momento, es la paciencia que se tomaron para desarrollar el romance, aunque la atracción existió desde el momento 1, y desde ahí tu como espectador ya quieres que pase algo (o al menos yo sí me desesperé muchísimo 🤣), la forma en como construyen la relación a fuego lento y con mucha tensión entre ellos, hace que yo una romántica empedernida, quiera repetir la serie para volver a disfrutar de su historia. Muchas elementos de la historia están bien construidos, y muchos otros resultan un total disparate, pero si hay algo que cuidaron con el más mínimo detalle, ese definitivamente fue el romance entre Jane y Guilford 💕.
However, we can't talk about Lady Jane without talking about Lord Guilford, Jane's handsome but arrogant husband, who they actually forced to marry, but who from moment one have an incredible chemistry 🤭, which actually makes me love this couple, because they really have a great chemistry, the actors really did an amazing job in portraying that instant attraction that both characters felt for each other. Although this doesn't actually mark the development of this relationship, what makes this my favourite couple of the moment, is the patience they took to develop the romance, although the attraction existed from moment 1, and from there you as a viewer already want something to happen (or at least I did get really desperate 🤣), the way they build the relationship in slow fire and with a lot of tension between them, makes me a hopeless romantic, I want to repeat the series to enjoy their story again. Many elements of the story are well constructed, and many others turn out to be total nonsense, but if there is something that they took care of in the smallest detail, it was definitely the romance between Jane and Guilford 💕.

No puedo despedir éste post sin antes hacer una mención honorífica a mis personajes favoritos 🤣, porque aunque Jane y Guilford son sin duda alguna los protagonistas de mi corazón, sí es verdad que el merito a personaje favorito se lo llevaron sus hermanos 🤣🤣. Por un lado tenemos al hermano menor de Guilford, Lord Stan Dudley, quien al principio te puede parecer el tipo más pesado, arrogante e insufrible de todos los personajes, y nada más comienzan sus interacciones se vuelve en el personaje más cómico y al que de alguna forma quieres proteger 🤣🤣, o por lo menos esa es mi percepción, aparte que todo su desarrollo finaliza de forma tan linda, siendo él quien decide ponerle los puntos sobre las ies a su papá y plantarse en defensa de su hermano, de verdad se llevó mi corazón su personaje 💕. Y por otro lado tenemos a la hermana más pequeña de Jane, Margaret Grey, a quien al contrario de Stan a ella no quieres protegerla, a ella quieres acompañarla para que ponga en orden todo lo que está en desorden 🤣, es apenas una niña y es sin duda alguna la que tiene más gallardía en esa serie 🤣, obviamente con la madre que las Grey se gastan entiendes porqué les toca ser como son, pero Margaret es la que peor trato se lleva (a mi parecer), pero al final la única que realmente hace algo por solucionar las cosas, aparte es una niña empoderada 🤣.
I can't say goodbye to this post without first making an honourable mention to my favourite characters 🤣, because although Jane and Guilford are undoubtedly the protagonists of my heart, it is true that the merit to favourite character went to their siblings 🤣🤣. On the one hand we have Guilford's younger brother, Lord Stan Dudley, who at first may seem the most annoying, arrogant and insufferable of all the characters, and as soon as their interactions begin, he becomes the most comical character and the one you somehow want to protect 🤣🤣, or at least that's my perception, besides all his development ends in such a nice way, being him who decides to dot the i's to his dad and stand up for his brother, he really took my heart for his character 💕. And on the other hand we have Jane's younger sister, Margaret Grey, who unlike Stan, you don't want to protect her, you want to accompany her to put in order everything that is in disorder 🤣, she is just a child and is undoubtedly the one who has more gallantry in that series 🤣, obviously with the mother that the Grey's have, you understand why they have to be the way they are, but Margaret is the one who gets the worst treatment (in my opinion), but in the end the only one who really does something to fix things, besides she is an empowered girl 🤣.
