Con la llegada de Febrero y la época de amor y amistad, llega también la temporada de películas románticas que como ya deben saber yo adoro, así que tomando éste mes como excusa para hablar sobre éste género, he decidido traerles varias opiniones sobre películas románticas que a mi parecer deberían ver 🤣, y justamente hoy vengo con la primera reseña que una historia que, aunque parezca extraño, yo no había visto hasta ahora 🤣, había escuchado buenas reseñas acerca de la misma pero hasta ahora no le había dado la oportunidad, así que como vieron en el título hoy hablaremos de Loco y Estúpido Amor.

Estrenada el 29 de Julio de 2011 en Estados Unidos, ésta comedia romántica dirigida por Glenn Ficarra y John Requa cuenta la historia de Cal Weaver (Steve Carell), un cuarentón que aparentemente tiene la vida perfecta, tiene un buen trabajo, una familia y una esposa con quien ha estado casado desde hace muchísimos años, pero que en un día cualquiera se le viene el mundo abajo, la razón de ello es que su esposa le pide el divorcio luego de confesarle el haberlo engañado, a partir de éste momento todo en la vida de Cal cambia y es en éste procesó donde conoce a Jacob (Ryan Gosling), quien le da algunos consejos de coqueteo para poder rehacer su vida apartado de su ex esposa.

La película comienza de forma brutal 🤣, en menos de 10 minutos te plantean todo el escenario del divorcio y del motivo del mismo, y cuando terminas de entender lo que está pasando, es porque Cal ya está viviendo solo y en un estado de tristeza y soledad absoluta, y honestamente la velocidad con que ocurre éste inicio de trama me gustó porque de alguna forma te hace sentir la rapidez con que la vida de Cal cambia rotundamente, cuando él asimila lo que está pasando es justamente cuando el espectador también asimila toda la información presentada por la historia, y ese detalle a mi parecer es bastante cool. El personaje de Jacob, quien resulta ser el segundo protagonista si lo llevamos en escala, también nos lo presentan desde el inicio y justamente en escena con Hannah (Emma Stone), evidentemente haciendo referencia a que esa historia será importante más adelante, sin embargo este primer acercamiento entre ellos no queda en nada, y el personaje de Hanna no aparece nuevamente sino hasta mas adentrada la historia.
The film starts in a brutal way 🤣, in less than 10 minutes you are presented with the whole scenario of the divorce and the reason for it, and when you finish understanding what is happening, it is because Cal is already living alone and in a state of sadness and absolute loneliness, And honestly, I liked the speed with which this beginning of the plot happens because somehow it makes you feel the speed with which Cal's life changes, when he assimilates what is happening is precisely when the viewer also assimilates all the information presented by the story, and that detail in my opinion is pretty cool. The character of Jacob, who turns out to be the second protagonist if we take it in scale, is also presented to us from the beginning and precisely in scene with Hannah (Emma Stone), evidently making reference to the fact that this story will be important later on, however this first approach between them is nothing, and the character of Hanna does not appear again until later in the story.
La dinámica entre estos dos personajes principales (Cal y Jacob) es la que sustenta la gran parte de la trama, y éste es otro punto que me gustó bastante, porque usualmente las comedias románticas son principalmente llevadas por mujeres y su historia con un chico, pero el hecho de que hayan sido dos hombres como imágenes principales de la historia me pareció innovador y bien llevado sobre todo para el año en que fue estrenada, siento que hubo vacíos en la historia pero que en general llevaron bien la trama principal y era la separación de Cal y su reencuentro con él mismo, con su esencia inicial y un poco con su amor propio, si bien Jacob ayudó en éste proceso siento que si hijo Robbie (Jonah Bobo) también participó en el mismo, el primero lo ayudó a recuperar su amor propio y autoestima, pero el segundo le mostró cuáles eran los pilares de su personalidad y esencia, y ésto a mi parecer hizo a Robbie el tercer protagonista de ésta historia, haciendo que fuesen tres figuras masculinas y sus historias con mujeres, lo cual hace un juego contrario a la postura clásica que mencioné al inicio de éste párrafo.
The dynamic between these two main characters (Cal and Jacob) is the one that sustains the great part of the plot, and this is another point that I liked a lot, because usually romantic comedies are mainly carried by women and their story with a guy, but the fact that they have been two men as main images of the story seemed to me innovative and well carried especially for the year in which it was released, I feel that there were gaps in the story but that in general they carried well the main plot and it was the separation of Cal and his reunion with himself, Although Jacob helped in this process I feel that his son Robbie (Jonah Bobo) also participated in it, the first helped him to recover his self love and self esteem, but the second showed him which were the pillars of his personality and essence, and this in my opinion made Robbie the third protagonist of this story, making them three male figures and their stories with women, which makes a game contrary to the classic position that I mentioned at the beginning of this paragraph.
Ahora bien, no todo es color de rosa en ésta historias, porque bien mencioné que sentí vacíos en la trama, uno de los principales fue la historia de Jacob, siento que nunca nos dijeron realmente quién era ésta persona por esa misma razón su cambio a mitad de película yo no lo sentí natural, es decir fue muy brusco, muy rápido y sin mucho sustento, y creo que allí faltaron dos posibles elementos, o más tiempo de película o una historia paralela a la de Cal, porque se le da mayor relevancia a su trama y cuando se intenta encabezar la parte de Jacob, queda bastante corta y se siente apresurada y mal ejecutada. El plot twist de la trama yo ya lo sabía, así que evidentemente no me sorprendió y no puedo decir si es algo que se ve venir o no 🤷🏻♀️, lo que sí me sorprendió fue el tema de Robbie y su niñera, que dejaran abierta la posibilidad de que pasara algo, admito que fue medio extraño así que creo que por eso lo dejaron como abierto y no como algo formal del momento 🤣.
Now, not everything is rosy in this stories, because I mentioned that I felt gaps in the plot, one of the main ones was Jacob's story, I feel that we were never really told who this person was, for that same reason his change in the middle of the film I didn't feel it was natural, that is to say it was very abrupt, very fast and without much support, I think there were two possible elements missing, either more time in the film or a parallel story to Cal's, because it gives more relevance to his plot and when it tries to lead the part of Jacob, it is quite short and feels rushed and poorly executed. The plot twist of the plot I already knew, so obviously it didn't surprise me and I can't say if it's something you see coming or not 🤷🏻♀️, what did surprise me was the issue of Robbie and his nanny, that they left open the possibility of something happening, I admit it was kind of weird so I think that's why they left it as open and not as something formal of the moment 🤣.
Hay muchos elementos familiares en ésta historia, la misma relación de Cal y Jacob se siente algo paternal pese a todo lo que viven, como bien dije la relación con su hijo Robbie es la más desarrollada y hay algo aquí que tampoco me gustó del todo, y es que el personaje de su hija menor es prácticamente inexistente, no tiene muchas puestas en escena, nunca se toca ni medianamente el cómo le pudo afectar a ella la separación de sus papás, y en cierto modo se siente como un personaje de relleno, con decir que tiene más relevancia la niñera 🤣🤣, aunque también entiendo que la película está enfocada en el protagonismo masculino y desde esa perspectiva tiene sentido que no se le dé mucha relevancia a ciertos ámbitos de la trama.
There are many family elements in this story, Cal and Jacob's relationship feels somewhat paternal despite everything they go through, as I said the relationship with their son Robbie is the most developed and there is something here that I didn't like at all, and that is that the character of their youngest daughter is practically non-existent, she doesn't have much of a role, It never even touches on how the separation from her parents might have affected her, and in a way it feels like a filler character, with the nanny having more relevance 🤣🤣, although I also understand that the film is focused on the male protagonist and from that perspective it makes sense that certain areas of the plot are not given much relevance.
