Many times we find anime where the plot and how the events unfold leave us with many doubts and in some cases we never really understand what really happened. Some of the best known examples of these cases would be Neon Genesis Evangelion and Steins Gate but this time I will comment on a different anime and perhaps little known that also leaves several doubts at the end. This anime is called A.I.C.O Incarnation which is quite short as it has only 12 chapters and the same came out in 2018 being available on the Netflix platform. Without any considerable Spoiler I will comment the story of this anime for anyone who has not seen it and even you could not make strong Spoiler about the end of it as you do not understand much the first time you watch it.
This anime is about a futuristic reality in the year 2035 where a strange synthetic or semi-synthetic matter appeared one day in a laboratory product of some failed experiment but its origin is not known exactly and it has been spreading over time through the river to go slowly advancing to the city and to stop it have been created different gates and barriers along the river but the methery manages to cross them little by little, There are also a group of people who go into the areas controlled by the Matter to perform different missions both exploration and collection of objects or valuable technology, as long as good money is paid they risk their lives for it and they do it using special suits that allow them to have greater mobility and have special weapons to temporarily neutralize the Matter.
The main characters in this story will be Aiko Tachibana a happy and nice girl who has some health problems and therefore attends a hospital school where she is tested daily and the other protagonist will be Yuya Kanzaki a strange and distant young man who one day arrives as a new student at the school that Aiko attends and he approaches her from the first moment because he has a specific goal with her. After running away from the hospital practically kidnapping Aiko he tells her the truth or part of it about his past and certain things that she seems to have forgotten, everything is very shocking for the sweet Aiko as the information is really strong and completely changes the reality she thought she knew. Yuya convinces Aiko that she must accompany him to the Primary Point, which is the name given to the facilities where the whole Matter incident originated and is probably the most dangerous place of all, but it is of utmost importance that Aiko gets there if they want to solve the Matter problem once and for all.
As the 12 chapters of this anime progress, we discover little by little the truth about Aiko and Yuya's past, Kanzaki turns out to have a lot of secrets and the truth behind him ends up being very unexpected. In the same way, the origin of the Matter is gradually understood but it is never completely clear and in many aspects there are some doubts about what really happened and the reason for these events. It is also very touching how Aiko relates on a deeper and deeper level with the group of boys who are in charge of taking them safe and sound to the Primal Point and are the ones who battle against the Matter. This anime has some really touching scenes with dramatic and sad moments, in the end one sympathizes greatly with Aiko for the hard decisions she has to make and the way she faces them worrying first about the welfare of her companions before her own life. As for the visual part, the animation is quite good and you can see the detail and care they had at the time of making the anime, this can be seen in the design and detail of the costumes used to move within the area and the design of the Matter which is fascinating to see.

Muchas veces encontramos animes donde la trama y como se desarrollan los hechos nos dejan muchas dudas y en algunos casos nunca terminamos de entender bien que sucedió realmente. Unos de los ejemplos más conocidos de estos casos serian Neón Genesis Evangelion y Steins Gate pero en esta ocasión comentare un anime diferente y tal vez poco conocido que de igual forma deja varias dudas al terminar. Este anime se llama A.I.C.O Incarnation el cual es bastante corto ya que cuenta con solo 12 capítulos y el mismo salió en el año 2018 estando disponible en la plataforma de Netflix. Sin ningún Spoiler considerable comentare la historia de este anime para cualquiera que no lo haya visto e incluso no se podría hacer Spoiler fuerte sobre el final del mismo ya que no se entiende mucho la primera vez que lo miras.
Este anime trata de una realidad futurista en el año 2035 en donde una extraña Materia sintética o semi-sintética apareció un día en un laboratorio producto de algún experimento fallido pero no se conoce con exactitud su origen y la misma se ha ido extendiendo con el tiempo a través del rio hasta ir avanzando poco a poco hasta la ciudad y para detener a la misma se han creado diferentes compuertas y barreras a lo largo del rio pero la metería logra atravesarlas poco a poco, también existen un grupo de personas que se adentran en las áreas controladas por la Materia para realizar diferentes misiones tanto de exploración como de recolección de objetos o tecnología valiosa, siempre y cuando se pagado un buen dinero ellos arriesgan sus vidas por ello y lo hacen usando trajes especiales que les permiten tener una mayor movilidad y cuentan con armas especiales para neutralizar de manera temporal a la Materia.
Los personajes principales en esta historia serán Aiko Tachibana una niña alegra y simpática que cuenta con algunos problemas de salud y por ello asiste a una escuela hospital en donde le hacen pruebas a diario y el otro protagonista será Yuya Kanzaki un extraño y distante joven que un día llega como nuevo estudiante a la escuela que asiste Aiko y él se acerca a ella desde el primer instante ya que tiene un objetivo específico con ella. Luego de huir del hospital prácticamente secuestrando a Aiko él le cuenta la verdad o parte de ella sobre su pasado y ciertas cosas que ella parece haber olvidado, todo resulta muy impactante para la dulce Aiko ya que la información es realmente fuerte y le cambia por completo la realidad que ella creía saber. Yuya convence a Aiko que debe acompañarlo hasta el Punto Primario que es el nombre con el cual se le conoce a las instalaciones donde se originó todo el incidente de la Materia y por ello es probablemente el sitio más peligroso de todos pero es de suma importancia que Aiko llegue hasta ese sitio si desean resolver de una vez por todas el problema de la Materia.
A medida que avanza los 12 capítulos de este anime vamos descubriendo poco a poco la verdad sobre el pasado de Aiko y Yuya, Kanzaki resulta tener una gran cantidad de secretos y termina siendo muy inesperada la verdad que se oculta detrás de él. Del mismo modo se va entendiendo poco a poco el origen de la Materia pero la misma nunca llega a ser completamente clara y en muchos aspectos quedan algunas dudas de que fue lo que realmente sucedió y el porqué de dichos eventos. También resulta muy emotivo como Aiko se va relacionando a un nivel cada vez más profundo con el grupo de chicos los cuales son los encargados de llevarlos sanos y salvos hasta el Punto Primario y son los que batallan contra la Materia. Este anime cuenta con algunas escenas realmente emotivas con momentos dramáticos y tristes, al final uno simpatiza en gran medida con Aiko por las duras decisiones que debe tomar y la manera en que las afronta preocupándose primero por el bienestar de sus compañeros antes que su propia vida. En cuanto a la parte visual la animación es bastante buena y se nota el detalle y cuidado que tuvieron al momento de realizar el anime, esto se puede apreciar en el diseño y detalle de los trajes utilizados para desplazarse dentro de la zona y el diseño de la Materia el cual es fascinante de ver.
