Lately it has become a little more frequent the anime premieres with a first chapter almost twice as long as normal, a chapter of 45-50 minutes that serves to show in a better way and in a more detailed way the beginning of the anime and try to generate a greater interest and capture the viewer, although it is not something very frequent it seems that in many occasions the result obtained is quite good and it manages to have a very striking first impression so that you decide to continue with the anime, the last anime I saw with a long first chapter was Oshi No Ko which although it can be said that it lowered a little its intensity turned out to be very good so when I read the synopsis of Ragna Crimson and saw that its first chapter had 47 minutes I decided to give it a chance and so far it has seemed something very exciting to watch.
The plot of Ragna Crimson is quite interesting and manages to be striking from the beginning, a world where dragons rule the skies and humanity is in constant struggle against them to try to survive, although with certain additions not so common in dragon stories such as giving them certain weaknesses typical in vampire stories such as turning to dust under the sunlight so the dragons only attack at night, and also the weapons they use to fight them has some relationship with the Silver and when they attack them they freeze before the silver, a couple of somewhat curious approaches to see in battles against dragons.
Our protagonists are a duo that reminded me in a sense of the Tantei wa Mou anime, Shindeiru. The initial protagonists will be Leonica a little girl who is absurdly strong and one of the best dragon slayers and Ragna a silver-haired young man who, although practically useless to fight is faithful and loyal to Leonica, also idealizes her completely because she was the one who saved him when he had already lost hope in life.
The development of the plot in the first chapter of this anime was very exciting and also quite unexpected in many aspects where in the end it turns out that perhaps the only protagonist will be Ragna and Leonica will have a stronger role as a secondary character than expected at the beginning. Although Ragna in the beginning is incredibly weak compared to the others by the end of the chapter becomes the strongest character of all and also with a power capable of eliminating all enemies practically in moments, but this incredible Power Up was granted in a very special way and in a way with great sense in addition to having a great sacrifice to pay in exchange for having achieved all the power he wanted to protect Leonica. Without many Spoilers the way in which he increases his strength seemed to me to be developed in a good way and it was not as simple as saying that your protagonist is already the strongest of all just for being the protagonist, although I would have liked it to be slower his increase in power.
One of the best aspects of Ragna Crimson in its premiere for my criteria was its great combination of animation designs, the anime is clearly focused on action and drama with scenes of fighting and deaths really intense and much more explicit than expected, all with a dark color palette and high intensity to highlight all the feeling of action.
But in the same way it also knew how to combine much simpler and calmer designs seeking to generate a much more fun and somewhat adorable effect depending on the situation so that at the end of the 47 minutes of the first chapter the contrast that was achieved between all the different design approaches and the sections of the story was very entertaining and varied. Throughout, the quality of the animation was consistent and of good quality in both the darker, more dramatic scenes as well as the simple scenes in the city peacefully.
This new anime season Fall 2023 has started with very good premieres and for the moment there are already several anime that have caught my attention so soon I will bring a list of my recommendations for this season, but for now one of the anime that I liked and attracted me the most with its first chapter is Ragna Crimson, I hope it does not lower its quality in the next chapters and ends up being one of the best new anime of this season because for the moment with its story and animation it has a lot to be a very good anime.

Últimamente se ha vuelto un poco más frecuente los estrenos de anime con un primer capítulo prácticamente el doble de largo de lo normal, un capitulo de 45-50 minutos que sirve para poder mostrar de una mejor manera y de forma más detalla el inicio del anime y tratar de generar un interés mayor y lograr captar al espectador, aunque no es algo muy frecuente parece que en muchas ocasiones el resultado obtenido es bastante bueno y se logra tener una primera impresión muy impactante para que decidas seguir con el anime, el ultimo anime que vi con un primer capítulo extenso fue Oshi No Ko el cual aunque se puede decir que bajo un poco su intensidad resulto ser muy bueno por lo cual cuando leí la sinopsis de Ragna Crimson y vi que su primer capítulo tenía 47 minutos decidí darle una oportunidad y hasta ahora me ha parecido algo muy emociónate para ver.
La trama de Ragna Crimson es bastante interesante y logra ser llamativa desde el inicio, un mundo donde los Dragones gobiernan los cielos y la humanidad está en constante lucha contra ellos para intentar sobrevivir, aunque con ciertos agregados no tan comunes en las historias de dragones como lo es darles ciertas debilidades típicas en las historias de vampiros como lo es volverse polvo bajo la luz del sol por lo cual los dragones solo atacan de noche, y además las armas que usan para luchar contra ellos tiene cierta relación con la Plata y cuando los atacan estos se congelan ante la plata, un par de enfoques algo curiosos de ver en batallas contra dragones.
Nuestros protagonistas son un dúo que me recordó en cierto sentido al anime de Tantei wa Mou, Shindeiru. Los protagonistas iniciales serán Leónica una pequeña niña la cual es absurdamente fuerte y una de las mejores cazadoras de dragones y Ragna un joven de cabello plateado quien, aunque es prácticamente inútil para luchar es fiel y leal a Leonica, además la idealiza completamente debido a que fue ella quien lo salvo cuando ya había perdido las esperanzas en la vida.
El desarrollo de la trama en el primer capítulo de este anime fue muy emocionante y ademas bastante inesperado en muchos aspectos en donde al final resulta que tal vez el único protagonista será Ragna y Leonica tendrá un rol de personaje secundario más fuerte de lo esperado en un inicio. Aunque Ragna en un inicio es increíblemente débil en comparación a los demás para el final del capítulo se convierte en el personaje más fuerte de todos y además con un poder capaz de eliminar a todos los enemigos prácticamente en instantes, pero este increíble Power Up se le fue otorgado de una forma muy especial y de cierta manera con gran sentido además de tener un gran sacrificio que pagar a cambio de haber conseguido todo el poder que deseaba para poder proteger a Leónica. Sin muchos Spoilers la forma en que aumenta su fuerza me pareció que se desarrolló de buena forma y no fue tan simple como decir que tu protagonista ya es el más fuerte de todos solo por ser el protagonista, aunque me hubiera gustado que fuera más lento su aumento de poder.
Uno de los mejores aspectos de Ragna Crimson en su estreno para mi criterio fue su gran combinación de diseños de animación, el anime se ve claramente enfocado a la acción y drama con escenas de combates y muertes realmente intensas y mucho más explicitas de lo esperado, todo con una paleta de colores oscura y de gran intensidad para resaltar todo es sentimiento de acción.
Pero de igual forma también supo combinar diseños mucho más sencillos y tranquilos buscando generar un efecto mucho más divertido y algo adorable según la situación por lo cual al final de los 47 minutos del primer capítulo el contraste que se logró entre todos los distintos enfoques de diseño y los tramos de la historia fue muy entretenido y variado. En todo momento la calidad de la animación fue constante y de buena calidad tanto en las escenas más oscuras y dramáticas como en las simples escenas en la ciudad de forma pacífica.
Esta nueva temporada de anime Otoño 2023 ha comenzado con muy buenos estrenos y por los momentos ya son varios los animes que me han llamado la atención por lo cual pronto traeré una lista de mis recomendaciones para esta temporada, pero por ahora uno de los animes que más me ha gustado y atraído con su primer capítulo es Ragna Crimson, espero que no baje su calidad en los próximos capítulos y que termine siendo uno de los mejores animes nuevos de esta temporada debido a que por los momentos con su historia y animación tiene mucho para ser un muy buen anime.
