Holii, espero estén pasando un inicio de año excelente y con las mejores vibras del mundo.
Estos días los he pasado con mi papá y como les he comentado, mi papá es la razón principal por la que yo amo tanto el cine, así que hemos pasado estos días viendo puras películas; ayer vimos Soul de Disney y aunque ya yo la había visto cuando se estrenó, me di cuenta que no la había entendido en lo absoluto.
Por eso quise hacer este blog expresando mi opinión de esta pequeña obra de arte.

That's why I wanted to make this blog expressing my opinion of this little work of art.

Soul es la historia de Joe Gardner, quien es un profesor de mediana edad de una escuela secundaria, pero quien realmente sueña con ser un pianista reconocido y dedicarse al jazz. Este no cuenta mucho con el apoyo de su madre debido a que, para ella, la música no es un trabajo real con el que puedas pagar las cuentas; básicamente el cliché de siempre dicen, que si te dedicas al arte morirás de hambre.
A Joe se le presenta la oportunidad de tocar con una de sus mayores ídolos de la música jazz, Dorothea Williams, quién al principio parece indiferente con él, pero después de verlo y escucharlo tocar con tanta pasión, le ofrece tocar con su banda una noche.
Joe, distraído por la emoción de la noticia, cae por una alcantarilla y queda en estado de coma; la película, al principio te da a entender de que fallece, pero más adelante vemos que realmente estaba en estado de coma. Joe se opone a atravesar el “Gran Después” porque no siente que haya cumplido su propósito de vida; logra salirse de la fila y se escapa a el “Gran Antes” que es, básicamente, donde preparan a las almas para la vida en la tierra, designándoles su personalidad y buscando despertarles la “chispa” para que así puedan irse a la tierra.

Soul me gustó muchísimo, me hizo reflexionar mucho acerca de mi vida y lo automatizada o rutinaria que ha estado siendo, siempre le he dado prioridad a mis obligaciones y responsabilidades que a mi tiempo de recreación, que no digo que este mal pero yo ya he estado llegando a niveles muy malos; dejé de salir y convivir con muchas amistades por siempre estar ocupada y eso hizo que ya casi no tenga amigos.
Actitud que he estado cambiando poco a poco pero aún sigo rechazando muchas salidas y convivencias por el hecho de "tengo cosas que hacer", pero admitir los errores es el primer paso para empezar a corregirlos.
