I could have thought of making a post of my past Valentine's Day misfortunes and heartbreaks, but I'd rather share something that really pleases me and that I know you will enjoy more on this day. So take advantage of the fact that your significant other will be more loving than ever this day and force them to watch a romantic comedy.

Although Love is in the name of the movie, this is not the classic Chick Flick movie created to attract women, this is a comedy with situations that could happen to anyone, and anyone could get caught up in this comedy. The plot is about Cal, an average middle-aged man, married for 25 years to Emily. This marriage suddenly ends because Cal discovers that Emily is cheating on him with his co-worker, David Lindhagen. During the days of rebounding Cal decides to go to a bar and there he meets Jacob, a sexy, nice, attractive, metrosexual and all around playboy who decides to help Cal pick up women. During this time Jacob meets Hanna, a beautiful college student with whom he starts a relationship. On the other hand, Cal's 13-year-old son falls in love with his 17-year-old babysitter.

A pesar de que el Amor está dentro del nombre de la película, no es la clásica película Chick Flick creada para atraer a las mujeres, esta es una comedia con situaciones que podrían ocurrirle a cualquiera, y cualquiera podría quedar atrapado con esta comedia. La trama trata de Cal, un hombre promedio de mediana edad, casado desde hace 25 años con Emily. Este matrimonio termina de repente porque Cal descubre que Emily lo está engañando con su compañero de trabajo, David Lindhagen. Durante los días de despechos Cal decide ir a un Bar y allí conoce a Jacob, un sexy, simpático, atractivo, metrosexual y todo un playboy que decide ayudar a Cal a conquistar mujeres. Durante este tiempo Jacob conoce a Hanna, una hermosa estudiante universitaria con la que empieza una relación. Y por otra parte, el hijo de 13 años de Cal se enamora de su niñera de 17.

So far, according to what I've told you, it seems like an ordinary plot, but if I put the faces of a top luxury actors to this plot, things would change, don't you think? Cal Weaver is played by my favorite comic actor: Steve Carrel, now we put him in a polo shirt, tennis shoes and cargo pants and we have the typical middle-aged average man, with a giant existential problem, because his beautiful and brand new wife, Emily cheated on him. Emily is played by the spectacular Julianne Moore, and she's been cheating on Cal with David, who is played by Kevin Bacon. Does the casting look spectacular so far? Well, it gets better, Jacob is played by triple daddy Ryan Gosling, and Hanna by the spectacular Emma Stone, this happened in 2011, long before they teamed up in the hit La la land.

Hasta ahora, según lo que les he contado, pareciera una trama cualquiera, pero si a esta trama le pusiera las caras de un top de actores de lujo, la cosa cambiaría, ¿no creen? Vamos por parte, Cal Weaver está interpretado por mi actor cómico favorito: Steve Carrel, ahora le ponemos una polo, unos tennis y unos pantalones cargo y ya tenemos al típico hombre promedio de mediana edad, con un problema existencial gigante, porque su bella y flamante esposa, Emily le puso los cuernos. Emily está encarnada por la espectacular Julianne Moore, y ella estuvo engañando a Cal con David, que está encarnado por Kevin Bacon. ¿Hasta ahora les parece espectacular el casting? Pues, se pone mejor, Jacob está interpretado por el triple papacito Ryan Gosling, y Hanna por la espectacular Emma Stone,esto paso en el año 2011, mucho antes de que se unieran en el éxito La la land.

It also features performances by many more well-known artists, such as Marisa Tomei and Josh Groban, a spectacular constellation in this comedy. It was directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa who we know from movies like Focus and successful TV series like This is us. I love this romantic movie because it shows us love in a more real way, we can see a love that is over, because divorces exist and many times there is no turning back, second chances, new experiences as is the case of Jacob and Hanna, and the first love, that teenage and young love for which you can do anything crazy, for which you love without brakes and without stopping to see the damage you could be causing.

Además cuenta con interpretaciones de muchos más artistas muy conocidos, como Marisa Tomei y Josh Groban, toda una constelación espectacular en esta comedia. Fue dirigida por Glenn Ficarra y John Requa a quienes conocemos por películas como Focus y series de TV exitosas como This is us. Esta película romántica me encanta porque nos muestra el amor de una manera más real, podemos ver un amor que se acabó, porque los divorcios existen y muchas veces no hay vuelta atrás, segundas oportunidades, nuevas experiencias como es el caso de Jacob y Hanna, y el primer amor, ese amor adolescente y joven por el que puedes cometer cualquier locura, por el que amas sin frenos y sin detenerte a ver el daño que podrías estar causando.

The way they handled the experiences of each of the lovers is far from cliché, and even if they could touch on some, like the silly girl who falls in love with the eccentric millionaire, they give it a spectacular twist that leaves you completely perplexed. Steve Carrel's* performance, as always, is a marvel, he goes from being the tragic newly separated man to becoming quite the Don Juan, thanks to continually observing Jacob in his wanderings, and this time the drastic change of look that many of the girls in the Chick flicks go through this time it's done to a man. There are no jokes forced in, or unnecessary drama, it really is a well-rounded movie: nothing is missing or missing and it also has an unexpected ending. The movie is completely perfect, for me it will always be number 1 in my top of the best romantic comedies so far. So if you haven't seen this 2011 movie yet, today is the best day to watch it, one in which a couple can share without either of them ever getting bored.

> La forma en como manejaron las experiencias de cada uno de los enamorados dista mucho de ser un cliché, y aunque pudieran tocar alguno, como la chica tonta que se enamora del excéntrico millonario, le dan un giro espectacular que te deja completamente perplejo. La actuación de *Steve Carrel*, como siempre, es una maravilla, pasa de ser el trágico hombre recién separado a convertirse en todo un Don Juan, gracias a observar continuamente a Jacob en sus andanzas, y esta vez el cambio drástico de look por el que pasan muchas de las chicas en los *Chick flicks* esta vez se la realizan a un hombre. No hay chistes metidos a la fuerza, o dramas innecesarios, realmente es una película redonda: no le sobra ni le falta nada y además tiene un final inesperado. La película es completamente perfecta, para mí siempre estará de número 1 en mi top de las mejores comedias románticas hasta ahora. Así que si aún no has visto esta película de 2011, hoy es el mejor día para verla, una en la que puede compartir una pareja sin que ninguno de los dos llegue a aburrirse jamás.
