Early Man is a charming stop-action animated comedy / adventure directed by Nick Park, the creator of Wallace and Gromit. It is a tribute to the history of the football game, the film intelligently proposes that the "sacred game" began in prehistoric times, when a meteorite in the shape of a ball was kicked by the headline "primitive man". With a stellar cast of British stars (including Eddie Redmayne, Tom Hiddleston, Maisie Williams and Timothy Spall), this child-friendly comedy is a classic story of favorite sports, with the Stone Age team struggling to save their small town of a group of the conquerors of the Bronze Age.
Expect a lot of physical comedy, something (non-sexual) close to nudity, a silly and involuntary kiss between a pig and a man, and the kind of humor that moviegoers of all ages adore or hate.
There's a sweet emphasis on teamwork, as well as recognition of the contributions of female athletes to sports.
The film is directed by Nick Park, writer and producer, known by The Curse of the Were-Rabbit (2005), Chicken Run (2000) and A Close Shave (1995).

Dug and Hognob are a caveman and a boar from a Stone Age tribe. A civilization that faces the arrival of invaders led by the modern villain and evil Lord Nooth, who seeks to establish the Bronze Age. To make a place in history, they will compete in the best way that their ancestors taught them: with "the sacred game". And, is that these cave dwellers just accidentally invent football. It will be the most epic game in history as the survival of the tribe of Dug and his pet is at stake, who must overcome the grace and cunning of multiple dangers and defeat the evil Lord Nooth to not lose his home.
