After almost 30 years, we saw again the transformation of SSJ 4. This happened when Goku was defeated with the SSJ 3. After that, Neva, the demon world namekian, practices a spell on Goku that allowed him to achieve the SSJ 4 transformation. How surprising, with this phase, he still doesn't quite manage to overcome Gomah. I think they went a bit overboard with the power they gave this villain. 😅

Personally, even though the appearance of SSJ 4 was a possibility, I thought we were not going to see it. Because of the fact that previously there was no hint or warning that it could happen. It's like it happened in a very abrupt way.
En lo personal, a pesar de que era una posibilidad la aparición del SSJ 4, pensé que no lo íbamos a ver. Por el hecho que anteriormente no se dio ninguno indicio o aviso de que podía pasar. Es como que se dio de una manera muy brusca.
As for the transformation, my opinion is quite bittersweet. On the one hand, it made me happy to see SSJ 4 again after so long. On the other, I didn't really like its aesthetics. The fact that the transformation was shown in a child's body already takes away a lot of epicness. It gave me a similar feeling to when I first watched Teen Titans Go after growing up with Teen Titans. Basically, it was kind of disappointing to see this infantilized and unthreatening Goku SSJ 4 when I grew up with the GT version.
En cuanto a la transformación, mi opinión es bastante agridulce. Por un lado, me puso feliz volver a ver SSJ 4 luego de tanto tiempo. Por el otro, no me gustó mucho su estética. What I'm getting at is that the new transformations are getting lazier and lazier. In the sense that they no longer bother to build a path to get to that new power. For example, when we were first shown SSJ 2 in Gohan's hand, we had previously been shown very hard training sequences and told about the quest to surpass SSJ 1. Nothing like that happens here, we aren't even given an explanation or anything. Basically, it happened just because and that's it.
Otra que cosa que no me gustó es la manera en que se logró esta transformación. Resumidamente, Neva movió las manos, recitó un hechizo y listo. A lo que quiero llegar es que las nuevas transformaciones son cada vez más perezosas. En el sentido que ya no se molestan en construir un camino para llegar a ese nuevo poder. Por ejemplo, cuando se nos mostró por primera vez el SSJ 2 de la mano de Gohan, anteriormente se nos había enseñado secuencias de entrenamientos muy duros y se nos hablaba de la búsqueda de superar el SSJ 1. Aquí no pasa nada de eso, ni siquiera se nos da una explicación ni nada. Básicamente, ocurrió porque si y listo.

In conclusion, although I am not very happy about this. I appreciate this last gift that Akira Toriyama gave us. Many of us who grew up with Dragon Ball GT, had a caress to our inner child.
