I think I speak for most when I say that this movie was a disappointment and was not what we expected. For me, this is not the worst Dragon Ball movie, but it does have several negative points.

Creo que hablo por la mayoría cuando digo que esta película fue una decepción y no fue lo que esperábamos. Para mí, esta no es la peor película de Dragón Ball, pero sí tiene varios puntos negativos.

The most criticized and hated aspect of this movie was its CGI animation. Actually, its 3D format brought a lot of discontent and annoyance. More when we compare it with the previous Dragon Ball movie. The contrast between this one and Broly's, made the discomfort even greater. Personally, I agree with the criticism of the fans. It was a big mistake to choose this kind of art and animation. I tried to like it, but I couldn't really.

El aspecto más criticado y odiado de esta película fue su animación CGI. Realmente, su formato 3D trajo mucho descontento y molestia. Más cuando la comparamos con la película anterior de Dragón Ball. El contraste entre esta y la de Broly, hizo que el malestar fuera mayor. En lo personal, coincido con las críticas de los fans. Fue un gran error elegir este tipo de arte y animación. Intenté que me gustará, pero no pude la verdad.

On the other hand, something positive that I have to highlight is that this movie does not star Goku and Vegeta. Lately, Dragon Ball revolves around these two characters, leaving the others far behind. I really liked that in this opportunity, the protagonist was Gohan. Which for me, is the most wasted and underrated character in all of DB. I hope that if they are going to continue prolonging this franchise, at least give more room to different characters.

Por otro lado, algo positivo y que tengo que destacar es que en esta película no está protagonizada por Goku y Vegeta. Últimamente, Dragón Ball gira al rededor de estos 2 personajes, dejando muy atrás a los demás. Me gustó mucho que en esta oportunidad, el protagonismo se lo haya llevado Gohan. Que para mí, es el personaje más desperdiciado e infravalorado de todo DB. Espero que si van a seguir prolongando esta franquicia, al menos le den más lugar a distintos personajes.

Another problem with this film is that it seems that it was only made to appeal to nostalgia. It's not wrong to use the nostalgia appeal, but it's wrong to base your movie on that alone. We have the new Cell, called Cell max. We have the new #17 and #18, called Gamma #1 and #2. We have a new Dr. Gero, called Dr. Hedo, a lot of creativity. And we also have an almost exact replica of the scene where Gohan transforms into super saiyan 2, with the difference that here he transforms into his beast mode. In the end it seems that 90% of the movie is a recycling of previous concepts.

Otro problema que tiene esta película es que parece que solo fue hecha para apelar a la nostalgia. No está mal usar el recurso de la nostalgia, pero sí está mal que bases tu película solo en eso. Tenemos el nuevo Cell, llamado Cell max. Tenemos los nuevos n°17 y n°18, llamados Gamma #1 y #2. Tenemos una un nuevo Dr. Gero, llamado Dr. Hedo, mucha creatividad. Y también tenemos una réplica casi exacta de la escena donde Gohan se transforma en super saiyan 2, con la diferencia que acá se transforma en su modo bestia. Al final parece que el 90% de la película es un reciclaje de conceptos anteriores.

Another thing I didn't like are the new transformations, Picoro Orange and Gohan beast. Lately, the problem DB has is that there are too many transformations. They are going to run out of hair colors soon.

Otra cosa que no me gustó son las nuevas transformaciones, Picoro Orange y Gohan bestia. Últimamente, el problema que tiene DB es que hay excesivas transformaciones. Dentro de poco se les va a terminar los colores para pintar el pelo.

Aside from this problem, what I didn't like about these last transformations, was the means to get to them. Picoro used the dragon balls to ask to be stronger and Gohan got angry and achieved the beast mode that rivals Goku's ultra instinct. Aesthetically, the transformations are beautiful, but the method was almost a bad joke.

Aparte de este problema, lo que no me gustó de estas últimas transformaciones, fue el medio pada llegar a ellas. Picoro uso las bolas del dragón para pedir ser más fuerte y Gohan se enojó y logró el modo bestia que rivaliza con el ultra instinto de Goku. Estéticamente, son preciosas las transformaciones, pero el método fue casi un chiste de mal gusto.

Finally, something that for me is a constant complaint. It is that Dragon Ball, lately, is very childish. I know that this series was always oriented to a very young audience, but now it is for children of 10 years old, maximum. Between me being away from the target audience and them making it for younger and younger kids, it makes it very difficult for me to enjoy the new DB. Several times I felt cringe watching the movie. To the point of making me think this is probably the last movie I'll ever go see.

Por último, algo que para mí es una queja constante. Es que Dragón Ball, últimamente es muy infantil. Yo sé que está serie siempre estuvo orientado a un público muy joven, pero ahora es para niños de 10 años, máximo. Entre que yo me alejo del público objetivo y cada vez lo hacen para niños más jóvenes, se me hace muy difícil disfrutar lo nuevo de DB. Varias veces sentí vergüenza ajena al ver la película. Al punto de hacerme pensar que esta probablemente sea la última película que vaya a ver.

In conclusion, as much as it pains me, this was not a good movie. It made several mistakes and left a lot to be desired. If I had to give it a rating, it would be a 4/10.

En conclusión, aunque me duela, esta no fue una buena película. Cometió varios errores y dejó mucho que desear. Si le tuviera que dar una calificación, sería un 4/10.

I agree that the transformations were absurd, I didn't like it at all. The villain was lousy, nothing compared to Broly. Overall it's a bad movie, pitiful.

4/10 is too high, I would give it 2/10 😂.

The movie is extremely bad hahaha and I'm a hardcore fan of DB and DBZ.

The Cell thing is nonsense, that transformation of Max is terrible, personally I did not see neither head nor tail. I expected something else when it came out but it was a total disappointment. I think DB since the Super era is no longer the same, I liked that plot but it wasn't a big deal.

I'm not a fan of DBsuper in any of its versions, whether it's a badly animated series, crappy scripts with characters that are nothing "human or low level people" and out of nowhere they break goku's face in a mano a mano with ss god mode. that's why I hate DB super.

About the movie yes, I know it's shocking to see 3D graphics but being honest it's the only way to animate these movies without losing the physical proportion of the characters, as weird as it sounds I prefer to see from now on more movies in this art mode, because as we know the animated series is very horrendous in terms of animation cells and endless errors of the artists, making thousands of memes every time they screw up in the drawing and coloring of animated cells.

And then to practical levels to see a visually perfect movie in terms of physical batalals cuespor to body, it does its job. It's easier to make 3D movies in this "video game character" format than by hand, that's why I'll stick with the 3D of this movie.

Plot-wise the movie is bad with the transformation of Gohan and Picoro, but in terms of leaving a good visual experience of the scaled characters fighting, it feels good.

For me it's a more than necessary and acceptable animation, but it's still a bad script with random stuff that ruins the fan franchise.

P.S.: don't worry the author already passed away so I doubt they will make more movies and you will have to suffer to see more of this series.

VERSION EN ESPAÑOL

No soy fan de DBsuper en ninguna de sus versiones, sea serie mal animada, guiones cutres con personajes que no son nada "humanos o gente de nivel bajo" y de la nada le parten la cara en un mano a mano a goku con ss modo dios. por eso aborrezco DB super.

Sobre la pelicula si, se que es chocante ver gráficos 3D pero siendo honestos es la unica forma de animar estas películas sin perder la proporción física muscular de sus personajes, por raro que suene yo prefiero ver de aqui en adelante mas peliculas en este modo de arte, pues como sabemos la serie animada esta muy horrenda en cuanto a celdas de animación y un sin fin de errores de los dibujantes, haciendo sacar miles de memes cada vez que las cagan en el dibujado y coloreado de celdas animadas.

Y pues a niveles prácticos de ver una película visualmente perfecta en cuestión de batallas físicas cuerpo a cuerpo, pues cumple con lo suyo. Es mas facil sacar peliculas 3D en este formato tipo "personaje de videojuegos" que a mano, por eso me quedo con el 3D de esta pelicula.

Argumentalmente la pelicula es mala con la transformacion de Gohan y picoro, pero en cuestion de dejar una buena experiencia visual de los personajes a escala peleando, se siente bien.

Para mi es una animacion mas que necesaria y aceptable, pero sigue siendo un guion malo con cosas random que arruinan la franquicia.

Posdata: no te preocupes el autor ya fallecio asi que dudo que saquen mas peliculas y debas sufrir por ver mas esta serie
