What stands out most about this movie is that they show the nature of the Saiyan race very well. They show us that they are cruel, ruthless and dehumanized. Which makes perfect sense. Since their race is warrior and they are dedicated to conquer planets.

This to me is more appropriate to what we saw in the Dragon Ball Super: Broly movie. Which shows us a softer, more loving and empathetic Bardock. Which isn't bad, but I think the Dragon Ball Z version is more logical.

Bardock is an exceptional protagonist. In the movie we see certain attitudes that differentiate him from the rest of his race. Such as caring for his son or wanting to avenge his companions after they were killed by Freeza's henchmen.

The final scene makes your skin crawl. Watching Bardock fight and defeat multiple minions of Freeza while demanding to fight him IS CINEMA. Seeing this tyrant be afraid for the first time is epic.
La escena final te eriza la piel. Ver a Bardock peleando y derrotando a múltiples secuaces de Freeza mientras exige pelear con él, ES CINE. Ver a este tirano tener miedo por primera vez es épico.
Closing with that sublime scene where Bardock is disintegrated while showing a smile. Because before dying he manages to see the future where his son Kakarotto becomes a strong warrior and confronts this tyrant.

In conclusion, I really liked this movie. I think it's excellent as a prequel even though it's not canon (unfortunately). It helps us understand much more about the origin of Goku and his race. And it gives more weight to the events of the Freeza saga.
En conclusión, a mí me gustó mucho esta película. Me parece excelente como precuela aunque no sea canon (por desgracia). Nos ayuda a entender mucho más el origen de Goku y su raza. Y le da más peso a los acontecimientos de la saga de Freeza.
In my opinion, I think this movie is one of the best Dragon Ball movies. And to finish, if I had to give it a rating, it would be an 8/10.
En mi opinión, creo que esta película es una de las mejores de Dragón Ball. Y para terminar, si le tuviera que dar una calificación, sería un 8/10.
