It's likely that many of you who consume Dragon Ball don't remember much about this special. So I'm here to refresh you on this great story.

Speaking of Gohan, something that hurt me was his death. Really, I felt sorry for him being defeated. But at least that event served as an opportunity for Trunks to become SSJ for the first time. Which by the way, was achieved in a heartbreaking and epic scene. That manages to take your breath away.

In my opinion, unlike other specials or movies, I think this one is almost mandatory to watch. To be able to have more context of the main story. Aside from the fact that by itself, it has a lot of quality and standout scenes.

In closing, my verdict is that it's a totally worthwhile special. Anyone who likes Dragon Ball and hasn't seen it, should do so. It's a great addition to what has been seen before. If I had to give it a rating, it would be an 8/10. Highly recommended.
