This came up recently in some texts with an old friend after I found this ticket stub.

This screening ended up being one of the best moviegoing experiences of my life.

The above mentioned friend had heard it was coming in 70mm, and he urged me to join him. He even underscored his point by buying my ticket.

I had never seen the film.

The place was packed. Minds were blown. I have a vivid memory of the final space travel sequence, how the colors filled the whole room, the floors and walls of the theater were painted in space travel. Fun stuff.

If you haven't seen this film, see it soon on a huge screen with great speakers. I'll keep saying that.

Directed by Stanley Kubrick, written by Kubrick and Arthur C. Clarke.

This is my favorite film of all time! Haven't seen it in 70mm yet though. :( By the way, I just sponsored you for Steem Basic Income, so you should start getting some upvotes from them.

Personally I liked the 4 books more than the movie. I watched the movie many ears ago as a kid and found it to be a little too slow moving. But I did love many of the sequences and I was pretty surprised about what Kubrick accomplished at the time with no modern tech.
