An all-time action classic, Bad Boys is a master of character, dialogue, action sequences, and dramatic irony.
Trailer:
Besides highlighting some great vehicle and foot chases, the action here is best simply viewed. It's some of the best the 90's offered.
Regarding story tools, what does the audience know that the (or some) characters don't? Getting a bird's eye view of Captain Howard's plan sets up some great comedic opportunities.
The Captain's Plan:
Marcus explaining the shrine of pictures and getting out of a sexy moment with Julie after the nightclub shootout are two examples.
Beyond this story approach and all the great action moments, what I love about this film falls on the friendship at the core of it, the characters, and their delivery. All so well done.

It is a heartfelt, well made, fun and funny film.
Directed by Michael Bay and written by George Gallo (story), Michael Barrie, Jim Mulholland, and Doug Richardson (screenplay).
"Yeah, and some Skittles" Moment:
Cheers to Bad Boys.
