What a gutsy move. A shocking turning point that tears at us, hits, and settles at the midpoint of the story: new loss, reintroduced characters, new limits, new goals.

Cooper has lost 23 years, 4 months, 8 days. He has lost the youth and hope of his children.

We reintroduce Murph as an adult, now on the path to solve the equation to save the planet.

We then return to Coop and the team to discuss current options and a new plan.

Intense on the heart strings for sure. This midpoint rocked me when I saw it in theaters. Blew my mind that Cooper would lose this much this early in the film. It let's the audience know we're not playing. In this story anything is up for grabs on love, life, and loss.

Next level visuals. Awesome editing by Lee Smith. Awesome sound work by Richard King, Drew Kunin, R.J. Kizer, and 40 others. Well done.
