I love looking at a film in terms of core story points. Can you tell me the story in simplified terms, in five sentences? If not, no problem, but simplifying can add clarity.

This is it to me: • Stars Leave • +Brand • Lose (Midpoint) • Win • AL West Division Champs

The key character arc of the film is Beane becoming more personally involved with his team. This directly helps him succeed in the overall story arc; it helps his team win.

The key catharsis moment on this for me is when Beane Finally enters the stadium during a game. He unites and embraces the moment and the people. He is more personally involved.

Great film. Great script.

Screenplay by Steven Zaillian and Aaron Sorkin, story by Stan Chervin, based on the book by Michael Lewis. Directed by Bennett Miller. Produced by Scott Rudin (and eleven other people).
