One of my favorites war movies is "Saving Private Ryan" the movie has a great Warfield story about a group of soldiers who are in search for a young soldier called Ryan who is missing behind the enemy lines.
Group of eight soldiers received a new order from the Army Chief of Staff to plan a dangerous mission on getting back Ryan.
The mission to save Ryan has propaganda purposes and so to motivate the young group of soldiers to go in search for Ryan, they have been told that Ryan's mother has already lost her two sons and that Ryan is her last hope so she can move on with her life.
But, the group of eight has parents too, the whole mission is starting to sound like nonsense to those soldiers, but they are forced to go through real hell just so they can boost morale on the homefront and to have a frontman on the battle of Omaha Beach.
Some of the group are young nonexperienced soldiers who are thrown under German's guns to witness the horrifying picture of the war.
As they start with the mission, they will go further into the German territory, risking their lives and discuss the whole mission as they are starting to lose hope that they will ever find Private Ryan.
As the search continues, one of the soldiers will grumble "This Ryan better be worth it".
That's all if you are like to watch movies from WW II, then this is a great movie, directed by Steven Spielberg in 1998 with the main character Capt. Miller (Tom Hanks).
Rating: 10/10
