A mystery movie directed by David Kopp where the main character is Johnny Depp, I think that this one is quite powerful mystery movie. We also have Maria Bello, John Turturro, Timothy Hutton and Charles S. Dutton.
The movie plot goes like this. Although he knows he should be by the computer and write his new book, writer Mort Rainey spends 16 hours in bed, sleeping.
He is in a middle of a divorce and everything is in chaos. It destroys its energy and leads to a copyright blockade without any ideas. And when he believes that nothing can go no worse, the crazy stranger John Shooter appears who accuses him of plagiarism and seeks appropriate compensation.
All this will lead to a cold-blooded murder and Mort will enter the game of a cat and a mouse. In the end it turns out that John Shooter knows him better than he himself.
It has been so long since I watched this one, I pretty much adore this movie, Johnny was amazing in his role, not always shaky roles are the best for him, he knows how to play in serious roles as well.
