Maybe the most underrated movie out there…This movie fascinated me so much that he got in the top 10 drama/mystery list of mine. Movie with a great story behind, I love it.
Directed by Francis Ford Coppola, movie director that didn’t had funds to create this movie which he admits is his finest and favorite movie that he directed. Being broke and unable to fund this movie would have been a real damage for the movie art gallery, luckily, after the huge glory of “The Godfather” he was able to fund his project and create this masterpiece.
The movie is about a secretive surveillance expert who has a duty to surveillance a couple (man and woman) and to transcribe their conversation so later on to hand out the tape to the agency that hired him. While the couple are acting paranoid and it seems that they are aware and familiar with that kind of surveillance service, they plan to talk in crowded places so their discussion cannot be recorded. They decide to meet at the most crowded place in the city, at the square.
While the surveillance expert called Gene Hackman is listening to them, he finds out that they are in danger, probably someone is trying to murder them.
The movie plot is mostly the drama between the couple and the surveillance expert, even though the movie is two hours, I think it will get your attention. This movie is intense till the end, for those who want drama, mystery and thriller, this is all in one, a perfect combination that will offer you a great movie experience, I totally recommend it, must watch.
