This is a masterpiece movie by Alejandro Amenabar. In this movie, Ramon Sampedro (Javier Bardem) is a man who has been bedridden for 30 years, he is quadriplegic.
Through all that time, Ramon has only one goal, to end his life. Whether you approve it or not it’s up to you to judge him later on in the movie.
The whole movie is actually a fight for the right to euthanasia and the question is whether life is a right or duty of yours.
I would not write more because this is one of those movies that you need to watch and feel it. The movie has a strong questions, is it worth living with pain, what are your options and how you see live, as the main character faced this question, is it a right or a duty, by duty I think you need to live so you won’t hurt your closest, it’s your duty to not break them and to do that, you need to choose life over death.
