I haven’t watched a lot of movies in 2015, I wasn’t that active during that year, I mostly watched TV shows but the hype about “Whiplash” made me pause my TV show and get back to the movies again.
The movie is about one drummer in a class with other drummers and they all want to claim the top and be the best drummers in the world, but the top has place for only one. To get out the best of them, a guy named Fletcher who was a very good drummer is trying unpopular methods to his students, psychological torture is only one of them.
I got a lot of emotions from this movie, it’s like the director of the movie had collected all of my admirations and put them on this movie.
Some may say that the movie was a huge torture between the main character Andrew and his drum teacher Fletcher, it is true but the story has so much more to offer, the dedication, dream, hard work, real torture and a lot more humiliations in the way to being the best drummer out there.
Fletcher role is a dark one, like our teacher that we all have been scared of, it is interesting how Fletcher is using the drum lessons to control his mind, his actions, his fears, but in the end it will be worth it and you will see why.
