Una nueva adaptación ha aterrizado en nuestras pantallas y se trata de “Culpa Mia”, una historia super popular del año 2017 de la plataforma Wattpad, casa de muchas historias icónicas desde hace muchísimo tiempo. De la cual ya se han realizado par de adaptaciones, siendo "El stand de los besos" una película que no llama mucho mi atención la verdad, "A través de mi ventana" que realmente es una tragedía, "After" que no es de mi agrado pero al publico le gusta y ahora "Culpa Mía", una historia que recuerdo vagamente pero que me emociono mucho de ver en la pantalla de streaming.

A new adaptation has landed on our screens and it is "Culpa Mia", a super popular story of the year 2017 from the Wattpad platform, home of many iconic stories for a very long time. Of which there have already been a couple of adaptations, being "The Kissing Stand" a movie that doesn't call much my attention the truth, "Through My Window" which is really a tragedy, "After" which is not to my liking but the public likes it and now "Culpa Mia", a story that I vaguely remember but that I was very excited to see on the streaming screen.

¿De qué va Culpa Mia? Este libro/película narra la vida de Noah, una chica que se tiene que mudar bruscamente porque su madre se ha casado, de la nada, con un millonario y ahora tiene que vivir una vida que se escapaba de su realidad, llena de lujos por así decirlo. Para Noah no era solamente que su madre hiciera su vida, si no tener que dejarlo todo y para colmo, tener que soportar a su nuevo hermanastro, Nick. Ambos, tanto Nick como Noah no se llevan muy bien, pero las cosas cambian y ambos tienen cosas ocultas que lo vuelve todo más interesante.

What is Culpa Mia about? This book/movie narrates the life of Noah, a girl who has to move abruptly because her mother has married, out of the blue, a millionaire and now she has to live a life that escaped her reality, full of luxuries so to speak. For Noah it wasn't just his mother making a life for herself, but having to give it all up and to top it all off, having to put up with his new stepbrother, Nick. Both Nick and Noah don't get along very well, but things change and they both have hidden things that make it all the more interesting.

Esta peli va muy bien con lo que vemos en el libro, no cambiaron demasiado y siguieron casi que al pie de la letra muchas cosas, cosa que es demasiado buena y se siente como una verdadera y fiel adaptación. La historia me recuerda mucho a "Beautiful Disaster" por el hecho de que Nick es bastante rudo y tiene eso que todas las chicas desean estar con el, menos una en particular, similar a mi amado Travis. También tanto Nick como Noah tienen cosas ocultas, por la parte de Nick tanto las peleas, como las fiestas, cigarro, alcohol y Noah las carreras, como su padre. El romance entre estos dos es inevitable, es el clásico Enemies to Lovers, cosa que me encanta porque hace todo más divertido y es de tener en cuenta que, son hermanastros, es por ello que lo hace como que prohibido, pero al mismo tiempo posible, ya que no comparten lazos sanguíneos.

This movie goes very well with what we see in the book, they didn't change too much and followed almost to the letter a lot of things, which is too good and feels like a true and faithful adaptation. The story reminds me a lot of "Beautiful Disaster" in the fact that Nick is pretty badass and has that thing that all the girls want to be with him, except one in particular, similar to my beloved Travis. Also both Nick and Noah have hidden things, on Nick's side both the fights, partying, cigarettes, alcohol and Noah the careers, like his father. The romance between these two is inevitable, it's classic Enemies to Lovers, which I love because it makes everything more fun and it's to keep in mind that, they are step brothers, that's why it makes it kind of forbidden, but at the same time possible, since they don't share blood ties.
