Missing: The Other Side Season 1

Do you think that people who are missing for years are most likely to be dead and want their body to be found?

Missing: The Other Side is presenting stories of missing people, adding elements of the astral dimension to add an interesting twist to the stories. This series first aired back in 2009 and now, it has its second season. I actually found out about the series though the second season and I was hooked with the mysteries that it tries to present. So, I ended up spending 13 hours watching the first season and I think this is one of the best Korean Series I have ever watched. This series can be found on VIU and so is the recent season of this series.

The series is starred b Ko Soo, a Korean actor that I actually don’t know much about. I rarely see his works so I can’t comment on his performance and compare it to his older works. However, in missing 1, his infectious kindness and positivity was a breath of fresh air. Can you imagine that he can see ghosts and then be compelled to help them resolve their problem?

But it was more than that, there were more things that also led him to finding his mother at a place called DUON village. This village can’t be seen by people who can’t see spirits. It is not clear why some people can see spirits and the village. Even in season 2, they still carry the same question, Why can they see the spirits and the village?

Season 1 of this series has a captivating storyline that brings all of its characters together, only to reveal that they are connected to each other in unexpected ways. While it includes some common elements found in many K-dramas, it also has surprising twists that make it a worthwhile watch. I was pleasantly surprised by how the story addresses issues of missing people and government handling of these cases, and I think that many K-dramas and series are now attempting to critique the government and social issues.

Honestly, I've had a hard time trying to put my thoughts about this series into words. This review draft was left untouched for a few days before I am touching it again today. This series, while interesting enough, has multiple arcs and each episode tells the story of a person and their life, with the main character trying to solve their problems and find their body. I simply do not want to give you all too many details and I'll let you watch it. However, I can assure you that this series has a nice aesthetic to it and the place gives you a vibe of a little European village with a massive yard and stone building. In season 2, which has recently aired, the setting shifts to an industrial complex, while the other world has a village-like atmosphere with many children. From the two episodes I've watched, it's difficult to know exactly what has happened, but I can say that more children in the series makes it even more terrifying and unsettling to watch. This is because those on the other side are dead and their bodies must be found before they can move on to a better place.

Last but not least, I get this question a couple of times but If you're wondering where to watch this series, I recommend checking out VIU. I personally have a premium subscription with them and find it to be a convenient and reasonably priced/ It's the only subscription that I've been willing to pay for because of the convenience it offers.
