¡Hola, queridos usuarios de Hive!🖤 Soy Mandy y hoy les quiero dar una reseña sobre uno de mis animes favoritos y que realmente todos deberían ver. Por supuesto debo advertir que esta reseña contiene una breve descripción de la historia por lo que tiene spoilers. Sin más que agregar, acompañame a hablar de Parasyte.
Izumi Shinichi, un adolescente japonés de 17 años promedio que vive en un suburbio tranquilo en Tokio. Inteligente, introvertido, socialmente retraído, torpe y miedoso. Con una familia funcional, una vida corriente. Alguien que sencillamente no destacaría demasiado del resto. Su vida continuaba un curso normal en su monotonía cuando una noche de improviso mientras Shinichi dormía nota algo extraño en su brazo derecho. Al despertar ve cómo una especie de gusano penetra en su piel y comienza a subir por el interior de su brazo hacia su cabeza.
En medio del pánico Shinichi logra evitar que este extraño gusano avance más allá de su brazo pero no logra comprender qué ocurrió y el insecto simplemente ya no está. Él decide obviar lo ocurrido considerando que quizá fue un mal sueño o confusión de su parte, sin embargo, poco después descubre que su brazo derecho ya no es su brazo… El gusano que resulta ser un parásito que ha logrado invadir su brazo por lo cual se desarrolla completamente y habita en él. Shinichi entra en pánico pero luego de intentar controlarse descubre que el parásito no solo es parte de su cuerpo sino que posee otras habilidades, como cambiar de forma e incluso hablar. Es un ser vivo con consciencia propia.

Decide llamarlo Migi, y cuando éste logra desarrollar completamente la capacidad de comunicarse explica que estas criaturas han aparecido en Japón y utilizan a los humanos como sus huéspedes para así poder reproducirse y subsistir como especie. Los que ya han logrado desarrollarse al cumplir la invasión del cerebro del huésped proceden a consumir seres humanos, por lo que se desata una ola de desapariciones y asesinatos. Estos parásitos aunque poseen una inteligencia sobrehumana no cuentan con emociones.
Shinichi al descubrir el enorme peligro en el que se encuentran no sólo él y sus seres queridos sino también la humanidad a lo largo de la trama hace lo posible por luchar contra estos parásitos siendo él mismo una mezcla entre especies. Humano y parásito a la vez.
La trama se lleva a cabo en base a esta dualidad del protagonista planteando situaciones donde se coloca en tela de juicio la verdadera naturaleza de Shinichi. Al principio él es claramente otro humano que vivió un evento desafortunado pero que no deja de priorizar a los de su especie e intenta salvarlos de la invasión. Él ve a Migi como un invasor, un intruso que deseaba acabar con su vida y colaborar a la propagación de más parásitos. Migi era una plaga, algo que debía ser exterminado. Inhumano y abominable.
Sin embargo, como Migi posee una consciencia propia y una alta inteligencia en cierta parte ayuda a Shinichi a sobrevivir puesto que de eso depende su vida también. Bajo esa dependencia lograr formar una relación basada más en el interés. El humano necesita al parásito para poder detectar y acabar o evitar a más de los invasores, y el parásito necesita el cuerpo y la vitalidad del resto del humano para poder sobrevivir en su brazo derecho.
Luego con el tiempo y circunstancias que se narran a lo largo de los 24 capítulos del anime (corto) Shinichi y Migi logran hacerse realmente amigos. El parásito logra comprender las emociones humanas y aprecia que dentro de las obvias imperfecciones, errores e inteligencia que quizá para los humanos era relativamente escasa, estos son criaturas esencialmente nobles ancladas a sus sentimientos, su relación con los otros que no se basan exclusivamente en interés sino también en emociones complejas como el amor.
Migi comprende que los humanos no son netamente destructivos, que los superan al ser más que criaturas instintivas y analíticas como él mismo, y que las emociones poseen una complejidad y transcendencia que van más allá de todo análisis o teoría. En el anime lo vemos desde el sentimiento de la maternidad, la depresión, el amor juvenil, la ira, desesperación, entre otros. En este sentido los humanos resultan una especie superior.

En cuanto a Shinichi comprende que los parásitos no son más que unas criaturas que nacieron nadie sabe dónde ni porqué, pero que finalmente son seres vivos distintos a nosotros los humanos que sólo buscan sobrevivir. Realmente en comparación son criaturas frágiles que necesitan de otra para poder vivir. Además tienen una existencia vacía puesto que no son capaces de sentir. Es a través de las emociones que le otorgamos un sentido a la existencia.
A través de sangre, horror, ciencia ficción y thriller psicológico este anime plantea la importancia de comprendernos como especie, o mas bien esa búsqueda de la compresión de lo que somos y porqué somos así como la relación que tenemos con todo aquello que nos rodea. La pregunta real es qué nos hace humanos. Nuestra naturaleza en cierto sentido posee una fragilidad dada por lo efímero y volátil de las emociones, sin embargo esto es precisamente lo que nos distingue. No es nuestra inteligencia lo que nos hace superiores, son nuestros deseos más profundos, nuestra parte más sensible. Sentimientos.
Este anime sin duda vale la pena verlo por la forma entretenida, dinámica, resumida y realmente correctamente establecida de plantear un tema bastante complejo como son las emociones y sentimientos. Usar la ciencia ficción aunada al recurso ilimitado de la animación permite plantear una situación y contexto surrealista que engancha al consumidor y sin notarlo lo lleva a reflexionar cuestiones sobre la psique humana que incluso pueden ser filosóficas también. Además la animación está muy bien lograda por lo que visualmente es agradable de ver.
Es una joya puesto que lograr establecer un tema complejo de forma sutil con una historia de horror y ficción no es nada sencillo de lograr, menos aún de hacerlo bien. Es por esto que Parasyte debería estar incluido en la lista de animes por ver, aunque sea una vez.

Hi, dear Hive users!🖤 I'm Mandy and today I want to bring you a review about one of my favorite animes that everyone should watch. Of course I must warn you that this review has a brief description of the story, so it has spoilers. Without further ado, join me to talk about Parasyte.
Izumi Shinichi, an average 17-year-old Japanese teenager living in a calm suburb in Tokyo. Intelligent, introverted, socially withdrawn, clumsy and fearful. With a functional family, an ordinary life. Someone who just wouldn't stand out too much from the rest. His life continued a normal course in its monotony when suddenly one night while Shinichi was sleeping, he noticed something strange in his right arm. When he wakes up he sees how some sort of worm penetrates his skin and begins to climb up the inside of his arm towards his head.
In the midst of his panic, Shinichi manages to prevent this strange worm from advancing beyond his arm, but he cannot understand what happened and the insect is simply gone. He decides to ignore what happened considering that perhaps it was a bad dream or he was probably confused, however, shortly after that he discovers that his right arm is no longer his arm... The worm that turns out to be a parasite has managed to invade his arm where it fully develops and dwells in it. Shinichi panics but after trying to control himself, he discovers that the parasite is not only a part of his body now but also has other abilities, such as shapeshifting and even talking. It is a living being with its own consciousness.
He decides to call it Migi, and when he manages to fully develop the ability to communicate, he explains to Shinichi that these creatures, the parasites, have appeared in Japan and use humans as their hosts in order to reproduce and survive as a species. Those that have already managed to develop by completing the invasion of the host's brain proceed to consume human beings, unleashing a wave of disappearances and murders. These parasites, although they possess superhuman intelligence, do not have emotions.
Shinichi upon discovering the enormous danger in which not only he and his loved ones but also humanity find themselves throughout the plot, does everything possible to fight against these parasites, being himself a mixture between species. Human and parasite at the same time.
The plot is carried out based on this duality presented on the protagonist, posing situations where Shinichi's true nature is questioned. At first he is clearly another human who lived an unfortunate event but he does not stop prioritizing his kind and tries to save them from the invasion. He sees Migi as an invader, an intruder who wanted to end his life and help spread more parasites. Migi was a plague, something that had to be exterminated. Inhuman and abominable.

However as Migi has a consciousness of his own and high intelligence, to a certain extent he helps Shinichi to survive since his life depends on it as well. Under this dependency, they can form a relationship based more on interest. The human needs the parasite in order to detect and kill or avoid more of the invaders, and the parasite needs the body and vitality of the rest of the human in order to survive and live on his right arm.
Then with the time and circumstances that are narrated throughout the 24 chapters of the anime (short) Shinichi and Migi manage to really become friends. The parasite manages to understand human emotions and appreciates that within the obvious imperfections, errors and intelligence that perhaps was relatively scarce for humans, these are essentially noble creatures anchored to their feelings, their relationship with others that are not based exclusively on interest but also in complex emotions such as love.
Migi understands that humans are not purely destructive, that they surpass them by being more than instinctive and analytical creatures like himself, and that emotions have a complexity and significance beyond all analysis or theory. In the anime we see it from the feeling of motherhood, depression, youthful love, anger, despair, among others. In this sense, humans are a superior species.
As for Shinichi, he understands that parasites are nothing more than creatures that were born no one knows where or why, but that ultimately they are living beings who only seek to survive. In reality, in comparison to humans they are fragile creatures that need another one in order to live. They also have an empty existence since they are not capable of feeling. It is through emotions that we give meaning to our existence.
Through blood, horror, sci-fi and a psychological thriller, this anime raises the importance of understanding ourselves as a species, or rather the search for understanding what we are and why we are here, as well as the relationship we have with everything that surrounds us. The real question is what makes us human. Our nature in a certain sense has a fragility given by the ephemeral and volatile emotions, however this is precisely what distinguishes us. It is not our intelligence that makes us superior, it is our deepest desires, our most sensitive part. Feelings.
This anime is undoubtedly worth watching for the entertaining, dynamic, summarized and really correctly established way of raising a rather complex topic such as emotions and feelings. Using science fiction coupled with the unlimited resource of animation allows us to see a surreal situation and context that hooks the consumer and without noticing it leads them to reflect on questions about the human psyche that can even be philosophical as well. Also the animation is pretty well done so visually is very pleasant to watch.
It's a gem since managing to establish a complex theme in a subtle way with a horror fiction story is not easy to achieve, even less to actually do it well. This is why Parasyte should be included in the list of anime to watch at least once.
