El hogar de Miss Peregrine para los niños peculiares se estrenó en el 2016, dirigida por Tim Burton es una película de aventuras y fantasía, esta fue dirigida por Tim Burton y está basada basada en la novela escrita por Ransom Riggs. Esta película nos muestra la historia de Jacob Portman un niño de 16 años que creció con su abuelo, Abraham, este siempre le contaba historias de niños fantásticos con poderes únicos, como volar, algunos eran invisibles, ente otros, estos vivían en una gran mansión y estaban al cuidado de Miss Peregrine, cuando niño creía todo, ya que su abuelo le mostraba fotos de todos sus amigos, pero con el paso del tiempo este dejó de creer todo esto y empezó a dudar de todo loq je le decía su abuelo, pensó que todo eran cuentos y imágenes editadas a la perfección, pero todo esto cambia cuando su abuelo aparece asesinado de una manera muy extraña que solo podría hacer una criatura misteriosa, por lo que Jacob empieza a sospechar que todo lo que le decía su abuelo podría ser cierto.

Resumen
Jacob un chico que trabaja en un supermercado es maltratado por los de su edad, en eso lo llaman para decirle que su abuelo parece estar loco, por lo que le toca ir urgente a llevarle sus medicamentos por lo que su compañera de trabajo lo lleva y en el camino parecen ver un fantasma (un hombre negro con ojos totalmente blancos).
Cuando llega a su casa no consigue a su abuelo, en eso encuentra rastros de sangre hasta finalmente encontrar a su abuelo asesinado, al que le arrancaron los ojos, en eso se acerca su compañera de trabajo y este ve una sombra gigante detrás de ella, pero esta no la ve.
Semanas después este empieza a ir con una psicóloga para superar la muerte de su abuelo y para encontrarle explicaciones a las cosas que aparentemente está viendo, cuando era niño, su abuelo le contaba historias de unos niños peculiares que tenían dones demasiado extraños, este tenía hasta fotos, pero un día las llevo a su escuela y todos se empezaron a burlar de él, a decirle que su abuelo era un loco o mentiroso.
Luego nos muestran el cumpleaños de Jacob, donde una tía le regala un libro de su abuelo donde encuentra una foto del antiguo orfanato en el que creció su abuelo, este quiere ir allá y busca ayuda de su psicóloga para que convenza a su papá de dejarlo ir y así terminar su duelo.
Se ponen en marcha y van a la isla, camino a la isla ven un Ave peregrina y este le empieza a gritar en manera de chiste como si fuera Miss peregrine, pero su padre lo mira con rareza pensando que todo es en serio, llegan a la isla y se van directo al hotel, donde le pagan a unos chicos para que los lleven a donde antiguamente era el orfanato, en medio camino los muchachos lo dejan de ayudar pero este si logra conseguir el orfanato.
Llegando ahí encuentra a un señor que le dice que fue destruido en 1943 durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial y que ningún niño sobrevivió, este intenta hablar con su papá de todo lo que está pasando pero no le presta la más mínima atención y dice que para eso está su psicóloga y que lo deje a él tranquilo.
Al otro día se va a explorar el orfanato, ve a unos niños algo extraños y este se asusta, sale corriendo y se tropieza, cayendo al suelo inconsciente, estos niños lo cargan y parecen llevarlo a algún lado, ahí conoce a los amigos de su abuelo, los niños peculiares que han vivido en un bucle del tiempo, es decir se quedaron encerrados en 1943, es decir su día se repite una y otra vez.
Jacob no les cree por lo que se va directo al hotel, pero en este momento se da cuenta que no está en su época, se mete en algunos problemas pero es salvado por el niño invisible y la chica de fuego, resulta que el hotel en esa época era un bar, lo rescatan y lo llevan al orfanato, donde todo está como si nada hubiera pasado, ahí conoce a Miss Peregrine, una señora que tiene la habilidad de convertirse en pájaro y manipular el tiempo, ella es la que logra mantenerlos en este bucle temporal.
Vemos un recorrido por la casa donde conocemos los demás habitantes, una niña que manejar la naturaleza a su gusto, dos gemelos que se ven un poco terroríficos, una niña que tiene una aterradora boca detrás de la cabeza y una niña que flota porque es muy liviana y controla el viento, un chico que le da vida a todo y hacen lo que esté les dice, por último un chico que usa su ojo como proyector y ahí ven todos los sucesos que pasarán en el futuro.
Todos quieren que Jacob se quede con ellos, pero este obviamente no quiere, lo logran convencer para que vea el reinicio, esto lo hacen Justo antes de que caiga una bomba sobre el orfanato, este se devuelve y le pide a Emma que lo acompañe, pero esta no quiso porque si se va a esa época desaparecería por lo vieja que sería, cuando vuelve a su época se encuentra con su padre y le dice que estuvo con el par de muchachos que lo llevaron al orfanato, pero se da cuenta que le miente ya que se los consiguen en el camino junto a un granjero al que le han matado todas sus ovejas este se enoja y le prohíben salir solo.
Estando en el hotel lee una carta de su abuelo con miss peregrine donde le dice qué hay enemigos cerca y que tienen que estar alertas, este vuelve al bucle y le pregunta a Miss Peregrine por la carta, pero esta se enoja por andar leyendo cosas privadas y no le dice nada.
Se encuentra con Enoch, al que le dice que le va a presentar el último integrante de la familia, un niño que hace poco fue asesinado por las criaturas traga ojos, en eso Peregrine le dicen que vayan a dar un paseo, en el camino le cuenta a Emma que su abuelo fue asesinado y que también le arrancaron los ojos, ella le dice que lo acompañe y lo lleva a un barco hundido, esta como maneja el aire logra sacar toda el agua que se encuentra en el barco, ahí le cuenta cuáles son “las criaturas traga ojos” que se llaman Huecos y se comen los ojos de sus víctimas, ella le muestra algunas fotos de estos huecos y reconoce a uno, este era el “fantasma” que pensó ver al principio, este al parecer fue el asesino de su abuelo.
Emma le dice que él también es un niño peculiar (al igual que su abuelo) y lo lleva del mar donde vemos que una criatura comienza a salir para luego ser asesinada por Miss peregrine, resulta que estos huecos son invisibles y la peculiaridad de Jacob es poder verlas, Miss peregrine le cuenta que estas criaturas invaden los huecos para comerse los ojos de los niños peculiares, ya que de esa forma recuperar su cuerpo humano y que estos están haciendo una clase de experimento en donde si capturan a las encargadas de estos niños tendrán vida eterna.
En eso llega una señora bastante asustada y les cuenta que los huecos invadieron su bucle y se comieron los ojos de los niños, todos le piden a Jacob que no se vaya, ya que sin él no pueden ver estos huecos, pero este no los ayuda y regresa a su época.
Cuando regresa todos se encuentran mirando al señor de la silla de ruedas muerto en el acantilado, este se encuentra también sin ojos, Jacob sale corriendo para avisarle a sus amigos , su padre intenta ir detrás de él pero no lo logra, así que un hombre se ofrece para ir a buscarlo pero claramente no era alguien con buenas intensiones, era nada más que el asesino de su abuelo, este cambia de formas, se convirtió en su psicóloga para saber en donde estaba el bucle de Miss Peregrine.
Mientras tanto en el orfanato todos estaba. Preparando sus cosas para irse, cuando en eso llega Jacob amenazado por el hueco, este les dice que todos los niños se vayan al cuarto y miss peregrine se va con el, la otra señora si logro esconderse y dice que ella los cuidará y los protegerá pero Justo en ese momento es asesinada por otro Hueco, este también está por matar a Enoch pero Jacob logra salvarlo clavándole una flecha y así les da tiempo a todos de salir huyendo, sin Miss peregrine el tiempo no retrocede por lo que el orfanato queda destrozados por las bombas.
Jacob tiene un plan para rescatar a Miss Peregrine, hacen funcionar el barco al cual Emma lo llevo anteriormente y se van en su búsqueda, cuando llegan al Bucle en donde se encuentran los villanos empiezan a ejecutar su plan, este consiste en alejar a los huecos y matarlos. Emma les dice que entreguen a Miss Peregrine, en eso los huecos la empiezan a perseguir, esto es todo una trampa para poder asesinarlos.
Luego vemos a nuestro villano principal, este les ofrece vida eterna, estos obviamente no seden y comienzan a pelear con sus poderes, el Jefe logra entrar a donde estaban las cuidadoras, Jacob la intentaba liberar pero no lo hizo a tiempo, llegan los demás niños y el villano toma la forma de Jacob para confundirlos, en eso se encuentra otro hueco y por pura suerte este se come los ojos del Jacob impostor.
Ya con los huecos muertos todos los niños están a salvo, Jacob se despide de sus amigos, estos ya encontraron un nuevo bucle donde vivir, este regresa a su casa y por los viajes en el tiempo su abuelo se encuentra vivo, estos hablan y el le regala un mapa en donde se encuentran todos los bucles del mundo y le da dinero de cada época, este le dice que vaya con Emma, ya que este sintió amor por ella, y lo más importante es seguir a su corazón, el no sabe donde esta, pero si sabe donde estuvo así que va a buscarla y finalmente se encuentra con ella y ahí finaliza esta película.

Excelente película ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Debo admitir que la primera vez que vi esta película fue en la noche sola, en la escena en donde muestran al abuelo de Jacob sin ojos me asuste mucho y dudé mucho de seguirla viendo (ya que soy muy miedosa) pero con todo eso si la vi y me encanto. Esta película es simplemente increíble, la trama es muy interesante y llamativa, los colores de la película y sus escenarios son espectaculares. Definitivamente tiene el toque de Tim Burton, este toque misterioso y tenebroso que lo caracterizan de todas sus películas.
Esta película no es recomendable para niños y más si son miedosos, ya que como les comenté tiene escenas que por más que no sean exactamente de terror si podrían causar algunas pesadillas. No se que tan file es al libro, pero en cuanto a la película, es muy buena, y cuenta con un gran reparto.

Then they show us Jacob's birthday, where an aunt gives him a book from his grandfather where he finds a photo of the old orphanage where his grandfather grew up, he wants to go there and seeks help from his psychologist to convince his father to leave him. go and thus end their duel.
They start up and go to the island, on the way to the island they see a peregrine bird and it begins to shout at him in a joke as if he were Miss peregrine, but his father looks at him strangely thinking that everything is serious, they arrive at the island and go straight to the hotel, where they pay some boys to take them to where the orphanage used to be, halfway there the boys stop helping him but he manages to get the orphanage.

Jacob does not believe them so he goes straight to the hotel, but at this moment he realizes that he is not in his time, he gets into some trouble but is saved by the invisible boy and the fire girl, it turns out that the hotel in that time it was a bar, they rescue him and take him to the orphanage, where everything is as if nothing had happened, there he meets Miss Peregrine, a lady who has the ability to turn into a bird and manipulate time, she is the one who manages to keep them in this time loop.
We see a tour of the house where we meet the other inhabitants, a girl who manages nature to her liking, two twins who look a bit scary, a girl who has a scary mouth behind her head, and a girl who floats because she is so light and controls the wind, a boy who gives life to everything and they do what he tells them, finally a boy who uses his eye as a projector and there they see all the events that will happen in the future.
They all want Jacob to stay with them, but he obviously doesn't want to, they manage to convince him to watch the reboot, they do this Just before a bomb falls on the orphanage, he turns back and asks Emma to come with him, but she did not want to because if she goes back to that time she would disappear because of how old she would be, when she returns to her time she meets her father and tells him that she was with the couple of boys who took him to the orphanage, but she realizes that she he lies since they get them on the road next to a farmer who has killed all his sheep, he gets angry and they forbid him to go out alone.
While at the hotel, he reads a letter from his grandfather to miss peregrine where he tells him that there are enemies nearby and that they have to be alert, he returns to the loop and asks Miss Peregrine about the letter, but she gets angry for reading private things and he doesn't say anything.
He meets Enoch, to whom he tells him that he is going to introduce the last member of the family, a child who was recently killed by the eye-eating creatures, in which Peregrine tells him to go for a walk, on the way he he tells Emma that his grandfather was murdered and that they also gouged out his eyes, she tells him to come with him and takes him to a sunken ship, as he handles the air he manages to remove all the water that is in the ship, there he tells her what are the "eye-swallowing creatures" called Hollows and they eat the eyes of their victims, she shows him some photos of these hollows and recognizes one, this was the "ghost" she thought she saw at first, This apparently was the murderer of his grandfather.
Emma tells him that he is also a peculiar boy (just like his grandfather) and takes him from the sea where we see that a creature begins to come out and is later killed by Miss peregrine, it turns out that these holes are invisible and Jacob's peculiarity is being able to see them, Miss peregrine tells him that these creatures invade the holes to eat the eyes of the peculiar children, since in this way they recover their human body and that they are doing a kind of experiment where they capture the ones in charge of these children they will have eternal life.
In that a quite scared lady arrives and tells them that the holes invaded her loop and ate the children's eyes, they all ask Jacob not to go, since without him they cannot see these holes, but he does not help them and return to his time.
When he returns, they all find themselves looking at the man in the wheelchair dead on the cliff, he is also without eyes, Jacob runs out to tell his friends, his father tries to go after him but does not succeed, so a man He offers to go look for him but clearly he was not someone with good intentions, he was nothing more than the murderer of his grandfather, he changes forms, he became his psychologist to find out where Miss Peregrine's loop was.
Meanwhile in the orphanage everyone was. Preparing his things to leave, when Jacob arrives threatened by the hole, he tells them that all the children go to the room and miss peregrine goes with him, the other lady if she can hide and says that she will take care of them and protect them but just at that moment she is killed by another Hollow, this one is also about to kill Enoch but Jacob manages to save him by sticking an arrow into him and thus gives everyone time to flee, without Miss peregrine time does not go back so the orphanage is destroyed for the bombs.
Jacob has a plan to rescue Miss Peregrine, they make the ship work that Emma took him to earlier and go in search of it, when they reach the Loop where the villains are, they begin to execute their plan, this consists of keeping the hollows away and kill them. Emma tells them to hand over Miss Peregrine, in that the hollows begin to chase her, this is all a trap to kill them.
Then we see our main villain, he offers them eternal life, they obviously don't give in and start fighting with their powers, the Boss manages to enter where the caregivers were, Jacob tried to free her but he didn't do it in time, the other children arrive and the villain takes the form of Jacob to confuse them, in that there is another hole and by sheer luck it eats the eyes of the impostor Jacob.
With the hollows dead all the children are safe, Jacob says goodbye to his friends, they have already found a new loop to live in, he returns home and through time travel his grandfather is alive, they talk and he he gives him a map where all the loops of the world are located and gives him money from each era, he tells him to go with Emma, since he felt love for her, and the most important thing is to follow his heart, he does not know where is she, but if he knows where she was so he goes looking for her and finally meets her and that's where this movie ends.

I must admit that the first time I saw this movie was alone at night, in the scene where they show Jacob's grandfather without eyes, I was very scared and I doubted to continue watching it (since I'm very scared) but with all that if the I saw and loved it. This movie is just amazing, the plot is very interesting and eye-catching, the colors of the movie and its settings are spectacular. It definitely has the touch of Tim Burton, this mysterious and dark touch that characterizes all of his films.
This movie is not recommended for children and even more so if they are fearful, since as I told you it has scenes that, even if they are not exactly scary, could cause some nightmares. I don't know how close it is to the book, but as for the movie, it's very good, and it has a great cast.
