Saludos a todos, en esta ocasión vengo a hablar sobre una serie que acabo de terminar de ver. Se llama Dark, y la pueden conseguir en Netflix.
Aún no se si para hablar de ella deba mencionar ciertos spoilers, pero de hacerlo, advertiré al lector para no arruinarle la serie si desea verla.
Greetings everyone, on this occasion I come to talk about a series that I just finished watching. It's called Dark, and you can get it on Netflix.

Es una serie alemana (para variar) de tres temporadas. La primera temporada tiene 10 episodios, y a mí parecer, engancha bastante. Pese a que cada capítulo dura casi una hora, puedes estar pegado a la pantalla hasta que acabe esta temporada.
La segunda y la tercera tienen ocho episodios únicamente. Los de la última temporada sí duran un poco más.
Fue creada por Baran bo Odar y Jantje Friese. Como elenco tiene a muchos, pero muchos personajes y aunque siempre están los principales, muchas de estas historias secundarias se siguen de cerca y son muy importantes para complementar la historia en general.
Quizá la cantidad de personajes y las diversas épocas que se manejan en la historia lleguen a confundir al espectador, pero no es imposible seguir la trama.
It is a German series (for a change) of three seasons. The first season has 10 episodes, and in my opinion, it's quite engaging. Despite the fact that each episode lasts almost an hour, you can stay glued to the screen until the end of this season.
The second and third seasons have only eight episodes. The last season does last a little longer.
It was created by Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese. As a cast it has many, many characters and although there are always the main characters, many of these side stories are followed closely and are very important to complement the overall story.
Perhaps the number of characters and the different periods that are handled in the story may confuse the viewer, but it is not impossible to follow the plot.

This series is about the disappearances of some children in Winden, the more the mystery behind their absences is investigated, the more mysteries emerge; theories that seem to come out of a science fiction story and impossible ruminations.
However, everything is more real than it seems and the characters end up involved and involved in a capricious game of time.

Como mencioné en la parte de las temporadas, la primera es muy fácil de devorar y fue lo que me pasó a mí. Creo que nunca había visto una serie tan extrañamente fascinante.
Es complicada, sí. Debes mantener tu atención centrada en cada palabra, en cada escena, y pensar. En cierto modo no es una serie solamente para relajarse, tienes que pensar para poder entender y encajar cada pieza.
Tienes tres temporadas para conocer a todos los personajes y familiarizarte con ellos, y es bien importante esto porque (pequeño spoiler) como trata sobre viajes en el tiempo, es común encontrarte al mismo personaje en sus tres versiones: la del pasado, presente y futuro.
Obviamente utilizan a diferentes actores para interpretar los papeles, y diferentes épocas, por lo cual es muy fácil perderse y perder de vista el hilo de esta historia.
Sin embargo, una vez los conoces tienes un paso adelante para entenderla, ya que no solo se trata sobre los personajes, sino sobre el tiempo. También tienes que concentrarte mucho para entender estos conceptos o teorías del tiempo y cuáles son las consecuencias de cada acción en la realidad.
As I mentioned in the part about the seasons, the first one is very easy to devour and that's what happened to me. I don't think I've ever seen such a strangely fascinating series.
It is complicated, yes. You have to keep your attention focused on every word, every scene, and think. In a way it's not a series just to relax, you have to think in order to understand and fit each piece together.
You have three seasons to get to know all the characters and become familiar with them, and this is very important because (small spoiler) as it deals with time travel, it is common to meet the same character in three versions: past, present and future.
Obviously they use different actors to play the roles, and different times, so it is very easy to get lost and lose sight of the thread of this story.
However, once you know them you have a step forward to understand it, since it is not only about the characters, but about time. You also have to concentrate a lot to understand these concepts or theories of time and what are the consequences of each action in reality.
Sumado a eso, cada personaje tiene un drama particular, y aunque muchas veces son historias realmente comunes, como romances, infidelidades o la vida en el colegio, también es interesante de ver.
Otra cosa que me gustó mucho fueron las actuaciones. Desde los más pequeños hasta los más grandes, fueron espléndidas y muy creíbles.
La ambientación de la serie es sumamente misteriosa y oscura, como su nombre, lo cual mantiene al espectador en constante tensión. De igual modo, la banda sonora ayuda mucho a esta ambientación, el juego de luces y sombras. Visualmente y autidivamente, es muy bonita.
No solo está muy bien elaborada en estos aspectos que ya mencioné, sino que es una locura total cómo los creadores entretejen esta historia y cómo la muestran en el guión.
Para mí, es una verdadera obra de arte y admiro mucho esta creación porque imagino que debe ser muy difícil lograr algo así. Pero no todo es tan bueno, y también tengo cosas negativas que resaltar, cosas que a mí no me convencieron o agradaron del todo.
In addition to that, each character has a particular drama, and although many times they are really common stories, such as romances, infidelities or life at school, they are also interesting to watch.
Another thing I really liked were the performances. From the youngest to the oldest, they were splendid and very believable.
The setting of the series is extremely mysterious and dark, like its name, which keeps the viewer in constant tension. Similarly, the soundtrack helps a lot to this atmosphere, the play of light and shadows. Visually and artistically, it is very beautiful.
Not only is it very well crafted in these aspects I already mentioned, but it's absolutely insane how the creators weave this story together and how they show it in the script.
For me, it is a true work of art and I admire this creation very much because I imagine it must be very difficult to achieve something like this. But not everything is so good, and I also have negative things to highlight, things that I was not completely convinced or pleased with.
Solo son tres. La primera, que sentí que la serie a medida que avanzaba se volvía pesada, de hecho, en un punto concreto me fue muy difícil continuarla.
Pasé meses, literalmente, con la serie pausada entre la segunda y tercera temporada sin poderla continuar. El mismo ritmo y misterio que en un principio me enganchó, me la jugó en contra.
Se me hacía muy difícil seguir un ritmo tan lento, sentí que en un principio comenzó de forma arrolladora y después muy floja. Aunque la salvaban escenas impactantes y esporádicas.
Lo segundo y advierto de spoiler: es que cuando involucraron ya un segundo mundo pensé que era un poco exagerado y que cualquier cosa podría pasar. No me agradó mucho esto, aunque luego me acostumbré.
Y por último, y algo muy importante, el final. El final estuvo bien y eso estuvo mal. Yo esperaba algo totalmente diferente e impactante, no un simple bien. Una serie así merecía una conclusión mucho mucho mejor. Sentí que fue algo flojo, como una solución suave a la locura que se había vuelto toda esta trama con viajes en el tiempo y en los mundos.
There are only three. The first, that I felt that the series as it progressed became tiresome, in fact, at one particular point I found it very difficult to continue it.

The second thing and I warn spoiler: when they involved a second world I thought it was a bit exaggerated and that anything could happen. I didn't really like this, although I got used to it later.
And finally, and very importantly, the ending. The ending was good and that was bad. I was expecting something totally different and shocking, not just okay. A series like this deserved a much better conclusion. I felt it was kind of weak, like a mild solution to the insanity that this whole plot with time travel and worlds had become.
Advertencia de más spoiler: primero, no entiendo cómo llegaron al tercer mundo de la historia. Fue muy vaga esa explicación de una brecha en el tiempo. Y segundo, no creo que evitar que la familia del relojero Tannhaus en realidad sirva para evitar la creación de la máquina del tiempo y de los otros dos mundos.
Es decir, ¿Quien asegura que no llegará otra ocasión en la que esta familia tenga otro accidente, o que la muerte de alguno de ellos provoque nuevamente estas ideas en la mente del relojero?
Hasta hubiese sido más lógico salvarlos y luego matar al relojero, ya saben, para evitar. 😆😆😆 Que cruel.
En conclusión, fue una buena serie, pero pudo haber sido mejor, no sé cómo, pero no así. Me agradó bastante, aunque duré tantos meses en terminar los episodios finales.
Sin embargo, tampoco podía quedarme con la duda de dejar esta serie inconclusa. Necesitaba saber el misterio detrás de todo esto.

More spoiler warning: first, I don't understand how they got to the third world of the story. It was very vague that explanation of a gap in time. And second, I don't think preventing the watchmaker Tannhaus' family actually serves to prevent the creation of the time machine and the other two worlds.
In other words, who is to say that there will not be another occasion when this family has another accident, or that the death of one of them will again provoke these ideas in the watchmaker's mind?
It would have even been more logical to save them and then kill the watchmaker, you know, to avoid. 😆😆😆😆 How cruel.
In conclusion, it was a good series, but it could have been better, I don't know how, but not like this. I liked it quite a bit, even though it took me so many months to finish the final episodes.
However, I also couldn't bring myself to leave this series unfinished. I needed to know the mystery behind it all.
