Hello everyone. Today I’m sharing a review of the movie Michael, released in 2026. It chronicles the life of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, and traces his musical journey as he rose to become the greatest artist of all time.

Cuando se estrenó la película no dude en ir a verla en el cine, realmente para mí ha sido una de las mejores en tanto tiempo, para aquellos que hemos escuchado a Michael desde pequeños entendemos esa emoción al verla en la pantalla. Jaafar hizo un gran trabajo en lograr interpretar a su tío, dandole vida a cada escena icónica del rey del Pop.

When the movie premiered, I didn't hesitate to go see it in the theater; for me, it was truly one of the best films in a long time. Those of us who have listened to Michael since childhood understand the emotion of seeing him on the big screen. Jaafar did a fantastic job portraying his uncle, bringing every iconic scene of the King of Pop to life.

Michael desde pequeño demostró un gran talento tanto para el canto y baile, vivía con sus hermanos y padres, su infancia fué algo difícil debido a los constantes maltratos y exigencias de su padre, no tenía casi amigos, ensayaban por horas, se lograron consolidar como "The Jackson 5" cada uno de ellos siempre tuvo un talento pero Michael quería lograr algo más.

From a young age, Michael demonstrated great talent for both singing and dancing; he lived with his parents and siblings, though his childhood was somewhat difficult due to his father's constant mistreatment and demanding nature. He had few friends and spent hours rehearsing. They eventually established themselves as "The Jackson 5"—and while each member possessed talent, Michael aspired to achieve something more.

Cuando Michael es un adulto se separa de la banda para iniciar su carrera como solista, sin embargo a su padre Joseph no le gusta la idea ya que al darse cuenta que no puede controlarlo como antes busca que Michael de una gira con sus hermanos, todo esto con el fin de poder ganar más dinero. Joseph es un hombre ambicioso que mantuvo bajo constante presión a todos sus hijos para lograr convertirlos en estrellas pero su actitud no fué del todo positiva generando un impacto psicológico y emocional sobre todo en Michael.

As an adult, Michael breaks away from the band to launch a solo career; however, his father, Joseph, dislikes the idea. Realizing he can no longer control Michael as he once did, Joseph pushes for a tour with his brothers—all in an effort to make more money. Joseph is an ambitious man who kept all his children under constant pressure to turn them into stars, but his attitude was far from positive, taking a psychological and emotional toll—particularly on Michael.

En la película se puede ver más allá de la vida como cantante, describe su vida personal, inseguridades y experiencias que va viviendo a través de su trayecto como artista, tiene un gran corazón y ama ayudar a los necesitados, una de las cosas que me llamó la atención es que para aquella época la discriminación racial era notable, en aquella escena donde los directivos del canal de música se negaban a colocar Billie Jean por Michael ser un artista de piel morena. Sin saber que detrás de esto había un éxito musical.

The film offers a glimpse beyond his life as a singer, portraying his personal life, insecurities, and experiences throughout his journey as an artist. He has a big heart and loves helping those in need. One thing that struck me was the prevalence of racial discrimination at the time—specifically the scene where music channel executives refused to air "Billie Jean" because Michael was a Black artist, unaware that a massive musical hit lay behind it.

Mi escena favorita fué donde comienza a cantar Don’t Stop ’til You Get Enough a capela y luego realiza la transición, también me gustó como interpretó Beat It, Thriller el clásico que no puede faltar y al final "Bad" dándole el toque final cuando por fin logra separarse de su padre en definitiva, cada paso, movimiento y vestuario bien estudiando. Realmente el impacto que tiene esta película es espectacular. Sin duda logró convertirse en el artista más escuchado de todos los tiempos hasta la actualidad, espero ver una segunda parte.

My favorite scene was where he starts singing "Don’t Stop ’til You Get Enough" a cappella and then makes the transition; I also liked his performance of "Beat It," the essential classic "Thriller," and finally "Bad"—which provided the perfect finishing touch as he finally managed to break free from his father for good. Every step, movement, and costume was meticulously thought out. The impact of this film is truly spectacular. He undoubtedly became the most-listened-to artist of all time—a status he holds to this day—and I hope to see a sequel.

Su vida fué algo difícil, a pesar de tenerlo todo como el dinero, fama, el faltó el amor de su padre, para él la música lo puede curar todo y a través de sus canciones y el baile trataba de transmitir un mensaje de unión y amor al mundo sin importar raza o género.

His life was somewhat difficult; despite having everything—such as money and fame—he lacked his father's love. He believed music could heal anything, and through his songs and dance, he sought to convey a message of unity and love to the world, regardless of race or gender.
