Movie Review: Omo Ghetto - The Saga.

Hello everyone, today we're talking about the movie titled Omo Ghetto: The Saga. It is a very interesting and comedy-filled movie. It follows the story of two twin sisters, Lefty and Ayomide. They happen to be very identical twins, but then they grew up in different environments. Lefty on her own happens to be a gang leader, the gang leader of Askamanya, to be precise, while Ayomide in her part is a very well-behaved lady. And even though they're twins, they have different personalities.

Lefty, as a street girl and leader of a gang, has a couple of friends, the likes of Nikky, Chummy, and some more who they always go about to cause trouble, cause fights, and do various things. Lefty never sees anything bad in what she's doing and the way she's living her life. But then, things took another turn when she finally gets to reconnect with her family, and she got to meet Ayomide, her twin sister.

It wasn't easy though, having to live with and get to know someone who's your twin sister but totally different from you. Along the line, Lefty's old ways of life began to catch up with her, and she's left to face the consequences, even though her loved ones also have to find themselves being caught up in it all.

First off, Funke Akindele did excellently. I respect her so much, and I'm even more glad that she delivered so well in this movie. She acted both characters, one as Ayomide, the calm and well-behaved one, and also as Lefty, the street girl. I loved so much how she pulled off both characters with different mannerisms. It's rare to find an actor who can do that perfectly.

Another thing I love in the movie is the relationship between Lefty and her friends; they're more like life families, each having one another's back. There are times they fight, argue, and have misunderstandings, but even still the chemistry and bond between them remain strong.

One of the things I have a problem with, though, is how they're exaggerating things. I understand that they wanted to make the movie funny, which they did, but then some were just too exaggerated, thereby making some of the comedy scenes less effective. Also, the storyline feels too stuffed. Like, can't you just take it slowly, or better still, just cut down things off? Criminal activities are happening; there was family drama, there were police cases, there are the fight scenes, and a lot more is happening altogether. They were able to do it well, and it wouldn't have been an issue if they made the twins receive the necessary amount of attention instead of surrounding them with so many events and happenings.

And lastly, some of the cast—I later find out aren't even important at all. I understand that not everyone would make much of an impact, but then it was just too much here. Some of them were just there to while away time, and some just to create funny moments, and that's all. Overall, the movie is a very interesting one.
