Hello everyone, today we're going to be talking about a movie titled The Ghost And The Tout. Yeah, I found it very interesting, funny, and comedy-filled. To not beat around the bush, the movie happens to be a sequel of the movie The Ghost and the Tout.
The Ghost And The Tout Too follows the storyline of a lady called Isla, Isla happened to be a street girl, and not just an ordinary one; she also has the ability to see and communicate with ghosts. And during the first movie, The Ghost and the tout, there she was still trying to navigate through and understand her gift, but here in this sequel titled The Ghost and the tout too, she's now very well accustomed to the gift.
And what she does in this sequel is funny, very funny. Here, she helps ghosts to complete whatever unfinished business they have here on earth; she communicates with them and helps them out. She helps them reach out to that family member and tell them whatever message the ghost has for them, and all of that. The most funniest part is that she charges this ghost; she's not doing any of it for free, and she has a lot of ghosts around her who need something done. So, it even got to an extent that if you don't agree with her price, she can decide not to help you out.
Along the line, she encounters Amoke, a lady who's lying in a coma. She gets to meet with her ghost too, and Amoke isn't just lying on the hospital bed in a state of coma due to illness; nah, she was poisoned, and she needs to expose the person responsible for it. That way she can show she seeks the help of Isla. Why this is complicated is because Amoke's life is still hanging in the two worlds; for Amoke to return to her body, she needs to reveal and expose who poisoned her within a period of time, or else she won't be able to return.
That movie is a lot; a lot of things happened in it, and she got mixed and connected with several people, ghost included. But she got so fixed on solving Amoke's case. And like I said earlier, the movie is so fun. Like, very funny.
Though from the onset, I never expected the movie to be anything serious; judging from the title and the characters who acted it, I know I'm in for some laughter. I love how it is a mixture of comedy and those supernatural elements and abilities. And that is where I want to give kudos to Toyin Abraham. Toyin Abraham acted as Isla, and I won't deny that she did really well. I love the way she makes sure the movie is fun to watch. Also, Mercy Johnson, the lady, did greatly well. I wasn't expecting so much energy and all from her, like... The movie made me like and respect her even more; she's indeed a great actor.
The likes of Iyabo Ojo, Odunlade Adekola, Lateef Adedimeji, and the likes also did well. I love how all of them came together, each bringing their own energy and spicing things up in the movie. Though I wasn't expecting less, those actors are A-list actors, so they won't even want to do less. And even though there were some ridiculous and unnecessary scenes in the movie, the fun it contained made me kind of overlook it.
Though I still find some things off, first is the scene with the witches. I still do not see how it fits into the story. I don't know why that scene came in; it doesn't in any way relate to what has been happening from the onset, and it also has no connection with what happened later in the movie too. It was a little funny, though, but then it was not necessary. And so we're in some other scenes in the movie; I guess they just added them to create more comedy and make us laugh.
Now, I also have an issue with the music and sound. Like, why does the music and sound have to be loud when it is supposed to be low, and why is it low when it is supposed to be loud? You know, there are some scenes that you would expect to have some loud dramatic sounds; they don't always get that right too. I love it for its comedy and fun, though it contains
The Ghost And The Tout, for me, is the cast and the comedy it contains. Overall, it is an amazing movie.
