A Perfect Getaway (Film): Review.

Review by @martinmcfly · 2776d · of A Perfect Getaway

Yesterday I was talking about Joy Ride, and this time I decided to talk about A Perfect Getaway, since I'm talking about films that could be classified as second or third category, but still contain a special form of moderate entertainment, with turns, and energetic endings, which is what these two films share after all despite having different plots.

Year: 2009 Category: Thriller, Adventure. Director: David Twohy. Cast: Timothy Olyphant, Milla Jovovich, Kiele Sanchez, Steve Zahn, Marley Shelton, Chris Hemsworth .

Plot

Cliff and Cydney are a newlywed couple who spend their honeymoon in one of the beaches of Hawaii, until they meet a frightened group of hikers who talk about a horrible murder of newlyweds on the islands. Not knowing what to do, the newly married couple interacts with two couples who are on the same beach, Nick and Gina and Kale and Cleo, giving rise to each pair begins to feel threatened by the others.

Opinion

This film belongs to that category of films that serve as an element of fleeting entertainment. Well, the film does not mean anything new, nothing that we have not seen, its essence lies in the simplicity of showing a beautiful scenario composed of a wonderful natural paradise, accompanied by a plot of murderers. In fact, I think this movie went unnoticed in movie theaters.

The opinion of other people that I have heard about the film, although they have said that it has entertained them, they say that the biggest problem is that the film takes time to start with the action, and that it takes a long time to show the scenario where it takes place the whole plot, which makes the movie slow and that they do not like. However, I personally consider the opposite of that, because I think that all the time that the film takes to start the action was necessary to create enough tension and appropriately show each of the main characters in the story, so that when the time comes to show the action, the viewer knows enough personality of each character, and can really empathize with the situation.

The only interest of the film is to create enough tension and a climax of suspicion, to finally solve everything in a simple and moderately surprising way. The actors do their work moderately well, Milla Jovovich, has a different role from the ones he generally plays, in fact, possibly opposite. The work done by Steve Zahn and Timothy Olyphant is also moderately good, and they bring the best dialogues of the film. Kiele Zanchez performs very well, and Marley Shelton and Chris Hemsworth without much effort complement the entire cast. In short, it is a moderate film in each of its aspects.

I do not have much else to say about this film, because to continue talking about it would be to ruin the only thing that the film can offer us as spectators.

It is a film that will not transcend the history, however, it is perfect as an element of entertainment, I can watch this type of movie while I eat dinner without any problem

Very nicely done. I have a question unrelated to the movie though. How did you center your titles and then return to left-oriented text? I have tried doing the usual < center > and < / center> but when i use the "#" for font size increase it refuses to drop the central alignment.

Your presentation is very nice. full upvote pal.
