Sometimes I'm given the task of watching a different movie, something recommended by some of my friends, those of whom recommend anything they have seen, and those who like everything, obviously, when I do that I go with very low expectations, and for that reason, although I do not find any masterpiece in their recommendation, I get a nice surprise. Today I got a modest film, but because of its boldness, it's worth talking about.

Plot
Tucker and Dale are on vacation in a neglected cabin on the mountain where they are attacked by a group of wealthy college students.
Opinion
Whoever wants to see this movie, it is better to prepare to see something really delirious. Only at the beginning of the film the first thing that appears on the screen is the image of some young people in a van, but not any kind of young people, they are wealthy young people, however, this would not be the best way to describe them, because their stupidity is greater than any amount of money his parents could have. And it is important that the director quickly show us what kind of characters the film is composed of, since the whole plot will be developed based on the implausible behavior that each of them will have.
These young people travel by road to a holiday home that one of their parents has in the mountains, and on the way they meet Tucker and Dale, two hillbillies of whom they get a very bad impression, but after a misunderstanding, each one goes his way. Tucker and Dale travel to a house they have bought on the mountain spending every last penny, while the youngs decide to stop in the woods, where Chad relates an event that happened 20 years ago, in which a couple of hillbillies killed a group of young university students similar to the one formed by them, however, once the story is over, they decide to swim in the lake, right at that moment, Allison, the pretty girl of the group, and of whom Chad and Dale are interested, decides to swim with their friends, but she is surprised by the presence of Tucker and Dale who were innocently fishing in the lake, what makes her fall from a rock and faint. Tucker and Dale save Allison and raise her to his boat, but she is unconscious, at that moment, the group of young people misunderstand the situation and flee the scene. From there, the group dramatizes the situation, and think that the hillbillies kidnapped their friend, which is why, instead of doing something else, led by Chad they decide to find them to recover her.
The film practically exploits each of the cliches that exist in the slasher genre, and that we see so much in films like A Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, even, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and many others. High class youngsters heading to their parents' house on the mountain, the story about a violent event happened in the same place in the past, a slight altercation at a gas station, the sheriff or policeman who appears to help but does not help, and young people dying in different and radical ways, however, in this film not everything is what it seems, each event is the product of confusion.
The film maintains a style similar to that of Scary Movie, but I would dare to say that more ingenious, because not only spoof the stereotypes of the slasher genre, but it gives a turn to events, because at all be a confusion, the aggressors are not the fearsome hillbillies personified by Tucker and Dale, but it is the young people who occupy this role, thus, the director, showing us the perspective of both sides, manages to give life to his film and also makes it a very entertaining satire of horror movies.
With all that said, I must say that technically speaking the film has all the features of a low budget project, and as expected the technical performance in a film like this is nothing outstanding, maintaining the level established by the rest of films of this type is enough. In the same way the performances are not outstanding, but we could not say anything in the performances that take place in this kind of film, because what we see is overactive, we will hardly find anyone in real life who acts in the way that the characters do here, and it is precisely because the objective of the film is to exaggerate stereotypes.
It is an entertaining film and time goes by quickly while it is on screen, however, due to the characteristics of this type of movies, I can never empathize with any of the characters, since they are not designed to empathize but to make us laugh at them.

It is an entertaining film, and extremely hilarious, if you have an opportunity available to see it, you can do it, otherwise, it is not worth making space in the agenda to look at it, it is not too outstanding either.
