Tomarse el tiempo para ver algo que guste no siempre es sencillo, cada día parece más ajetreado que el anterior y conseguir el espacio entre las responsabilidades es una tarea difícil, sin embargo, por mi parte espero a las noches para darme el gusto, cerca de la madrugada es el momento más libre que tengo y que puedo dedicarle mi apreciación al mundo de la cinematografía, y anoche tomé la decisión de ver un película que llevaba días postergando, me pareció otra película hecha para solamente entretener, y sí que lo hizo: la guerra del mañana.

Taking the time to watch something I like is not always easy, every day seems busier than the previous one and getting the space between responsibilities is a difficult task, however, for my part I wait for the evenings to indulge myself, near dawn is the freest time I have and I can dedicate my appreciation to the world of cinematography, and last night I decided to watch a movie I had been putting off for days, it seemed to me another movie made to only entertain, and yes it did: The Tomorrow War

Es navidad, familiares y amigos se reúnen en casa para ver un partido de fútbol y celebrar, pero el juego es detenido por una extraña aparición de personas a través de un portal, un grupo de viajeros en el tiempo llegan para dar un mensaje importante a la humanidad: se está perdido una guerra en el futuro contra seres de otro planeta. Es cuando a un hombre de familia le toca alistarse como combatiente para salvar el mundo, salvar un futuro para su hija.

Un film de ciencia ficción distopico repleto de drama y estrenado a mediados del año pasado, es protagonizado por un actor que a mí parecer no decepciona: Chris Pratt. Esta producción de Amazon Prime Video cuenta con 138 minutos cargados de acción y aventura que fue dirigida por Chris McKay.

Indagación

Soy un tipo genial y diferente, pero no lo digo yo, lo dicen los demás. En definitiva esa es la vibra que me da nuestro protagonista, y la película en general. Miren, los blockbusters siempre van a existir, y unos más destacables que otros, pero son este tipo de películas las que ni provoca criticar, o la disfrutas o te da un ataque al pensar en todos los huecos del guión, por mi parte decidí que verle el lado emocionante: hay golpazos de los buenos.

I'm a cool and different guy, but that's not me saying it, that's other people saying it. In short, that's the vibe I get from our protagonist, and the movie in general. Look, blockbusters will always exist, and some are more remarkable than others, but these are the kind of movies that don't even provoke criticism, either you enjoy it or you have an attack when you think of all the holes in the script, for my part I decided to see the exciting side: there are some good punches.

Desde el primer momento que vez el tráiler o sus imágenes promocionales sabes que la inversión monetaria será lo que sobresalga de la película, no me esperaba tanta calidad de escenarios y efectos especiales de gran dinámica y movimientos excelentes, tiene el realismo suficiente para sobresalir en opiniones.

From the first moment you see the trailer or its promotional images you know that the monetary investment will be what stands out from the film, I did not expect so much quality of scenarios and special effects of great dynamics and excellent movements, it has enough realism to stand out in opinions.

El film es una opción viable para cualquier día, genera emoción si no le buscas la lógica y coherencia, sirve muy bien para ver entre amigos y comer cosas deliciosas mientras, una producción para cualquiera edad que hará a cualquier soñador fantasear despierto con la posibilidad.

The film is a viable option for any day, generates excitement if you do not look for logic and coherence, serves very well to watch with friends and eat delicious things while, a production for any age that will make any dreamer daydreaming about the possibility.

Sinceramente me gusta Chris Pratt, a la mayoría que le comenzó a gustar desde Guardianes de la galaxia, yo lo conocí por sus papeles pequeños en Money Ball y Eternamente comprometidos, pero luego lo ví en Passengers y me pareció una pasada, sin embargo aquí cumple con algo que le queda muy bien: ser el típico estadounidense con complejo de héroe que cree no serlo.

I honestly like Chris Pratt, most who started liking him since Guardians of the Galaxy, I knew him from his small roles in Money Ball and Eternally Engaged, but then I saw him in Passengers and thought he was a blast, however here he fulfills something that suits him very well: being the typical American with a hero complex who thinks he's not a hero.

El film presenta la asombrosa idea de que una guerra en el futuro con alienígenas super fuertes y espeluznantes nos están ganando, así que es momento de viajar en el tiempo y pedir ayudar de nosotros mismos en el pasado ¿nada rebuscando, cierto? La temática central la reivindicación de un padre y la salvación del mundo.

The film presents the amazing idea that a war in the future with super strong and creepy aliens is winning us over, so it's time to travel back in time and ask for help from ourselves in the past - nothing fancy, right? La película avanza a pesar de que tiene varios tropiezos en el camino, está repleta de conversaciones que intentan ser profundas y escena cómicas casi innecesarias, para que los espectadores sepan que no todo es llanto y desesperación, y aún así la trama fluye dándote de vez en cuando una tensión por el realismo de ciertas escenas. ¡Que se nota muy bien en dónde se invirtió el dinero, eh! El climax es especial y lleno de emociones tras la perdida de un personaje apreciado por el protagonista, pero eso solo le dará desarrollo, no sé preocupen que no es nada trillado ¿no?

The film moves forward even though it has several stumbles along the way, it is full of conversations that try to be deep and almost unnecessary comic scenes, so that viewers know that not everything is crying and despair, and yet the plot flows giving you from time to time a tension by the realism of certain scenes, which shows very well where the money was invested, eh! The climax is special and full of emotions after the loss of a character appreciated by the protagonist, but that will only give you development, don't worry it's not trite, is it?

La actuación está muy promedio, a pesar de que la película tiene actores como J.K Simmons en su reparto, no hay algo que tú digas "que interpretación tan genial", no con esto digo que Patt lo hace mal, de hecho hace lo suficiente para que la película no sea una perdida de tiempo.

The acting is very average, even though the film has actors like J.K Simmons in its cast, there is not something that you say "what a great performance", not by this I am saying Patt does poorly, in fact he does enough to keep the film from being a waste of time.

Los personajes son carismáticos pero no sentí un lazo con ellos, aunque sí me sacaron varias risas y lamentos, un dato importante sería no aferrarse a ningún personaje secundario, son super prescindibles, aquí nos importa el protagonista y la salvación del planeta, nada más. Por su parte el dueño de toda la parte genial es quien tiene un desarrollo medianamente aceptable y regresa ileso de manera física, pero seguro tendrá un caos mental todas las noches, es que no todos los días peleas contra alienígenas superdotados.

The characters are charismatic but I did not feel a bond with them, although I did get several laughs and laments, an important fact would be not to hold on to any secondary character, they are super dispensable, here we care about the protagonist and the salvation of the planet, nothing more. On the other hand, the owner of all the great part is the one who has a moderately acceptable development and returns unharmed physically, but he will surely have a mental chaos every night, it's not every day you fight against gifted aliens.

La película cumple la única función con la que seguramente fue hecha: entretener. Los huecos argumentales y las acciones incoherentes las voy a desechar para ser feliz, por esta ocasión.

The film fulfills the only function for which it was surely made: to entertain. The plot holes and incoherent actions I will discard to be happy, for this occasion.

Dirección y ambientación

Acá tenemos lo mejor de la película, la escenografía y las tomas son 10/10, el diseño de los alienígenas es maravilloso, parecen salido de un vídeo juego que esperemos nunca se vuelva realidad. Las tomas secuencias, las acrobacias, las persecuciones y como están sucediendo muchas cosas al mismo tiempo en una sola escena te sube la seratonina al máximo para saciar la expectativa básica de ver muchas cosas explotando y destruyense.

Here we have the best of the film, the scenery and shots are 10/10, the design of the aliens is wonderful, they look like something out of a video game that hopefully will never come true. The sequence shots, the acrobatics, the chases and how many things are happening at the same time in a single scene, it raises your seratonin to the maximum to satiate the basic expectation of seeing many things exploding and destroying each other.

Los diferentes lugares de ambientación van bien ligados con la trama, cada uno cumple con algún objetivo de la historia, sobretodo se entrelazan, me parece que por esta parte han logrado no solo salvar el mundo, sino también la película, pero no esperes mucha profundización, repito, esto es mero entrenamiento.

The different locations are well linked to the plot, each one fulfills some objective of the story, above all they are intertwined, it seems to me that for this part they have managed not only to save the world, but also the film, but do not expect much depth, I repeat, this is mere training.

Valoración

Me ha gustado, no lo voy a negar, me la ví sin interrupciones porque no quería andar dándome cabezazos por andar pensando de más, es básica, sencilla, y rebuscada, de los blockbusters que me repetiría solo porque sí.

I liked it, I'm not going to deny it, I watched it without interruptions because I didn't want to keep banging my head for thinking too much, it's basic, simple, and stilted, one of those blockbusters that I would repeat just because.

Aunque la ciencia ficción no es mi mayor opción a la hora de ver películas, no me quejo de aquellos mundos con el toque de distopía y toda lo que conlleva salvar el mundo que nosotros mismos estamos destruyendo, porque muy bien podemos acabar nosotros con el planeta, pero no podemos dejar que otra especie lo haga, es nuestro trabajo, eh.

Although science fiction is not my top choice when it comes to watching movies, I'm not complaining about those worlds with a touch of dystopia and all that comes with saving the world that we ourselves are destroying, because we may very well wipe out the planet, but we can't let another species do it, it's our job, eh.

Otra de las cosas que me gustaron es que sería genial tener un papá así de cool, un tipo inteligente que tiene grandes sueños y metas pero que se mata contra la especie que sea para velar por tu futuro, porque hay algo que dejar claro, aunque la meta es salvar el mundo, el protagonista pelea por el futuro de su hija, entonces eso le da crédito a su personaje. En fin, me ha gustado, la recomiendo aunque no sea lo mejor que se puede ver, y si ya la viste, coméntame que te pareció, un fuerte abrazo, gracias por leer.

Another thing I liked is that it would be great to have a cool dad, a smart guy who has big dreams and goals but who kills himself against any species to watch over your future, because there is something to make clear, although the goal is to save the world, the protagonist fights for the future of his daughter, so that gives credit to his character.
