Last time, while browsing Loklok, I was actually looking for a survival movie... Then Jungle caught my attention. The short description made me curious about what happened to the characters and how their journey turned out. So I decided to watch it.

The story begins when Yossi is traveling in South America... There he meets Kevin and Marcus. Then Karl, a mysterious Austrian who convinces them to go on an adventure deep into the Amazon jungle.
At first, I was already suspicious of Karl. They had just met him on the street, so why would they immediately trust him and follow his plan? It looked like he was just observing them and figuring out their weaknesses.
On the other hand, Yossi was being adventurous. He wanted to experience something different, so when he got the chance, he grabbed it. For him, it seemed like the kind of adventure he had been looking for. Something exciting and far from the ordinary.
Even Kevin and Marcus got convinced... because of how adventurous and excited Yossi was about the idea. They did have doubts at first, since Karl was still a stranger to them. But eventually, they decided to go along for their friend. They take the risk.
So yeah... They started trekking the jungle. Of course, things were difficult as there were insects, exhaustion, and lack of food. And the journey became even harder because Marcus gets badly injured.
When Karl suggested that they split up in the middle of the Amazon jungle, it didn't seem like a good decision to me. He knew the way, so separating the group where they were on unfamiliar and dangerous place, might result to bad happenings. Here things are about to get worse.
Then it happened...
Yossi and Kevin travel down the river on a makeshift raft, but things became horribly wrong when they got separated.
I was honestly holding my breath.
Yossi ends up completely alone in the Amazon jungle. He tries to find his way back, but he becomes more and more lost. His food runs out, becomes extremely weak and exhausted. He tries to find food, make shelter... But everything becomes difficult. His mental state also starts deteriorating. He begins hallucinating and seeing things that aren't actually there. 😭
But the ending? It's actually satisfying... Because when he eventually reached to the point where he almost gave up, Kevin goes back to the area where they were separated and searches for any sign of Yossi. Then eventually, they find Yossi alive. 😍 It's just he's in terrible condition, thin, exhausted, and injured... But still he survived.
Overall, I really enjoyed Jungle. And knowing that this actually happened in real life made the movie feel so much more intense.
Rating: 100/100
