[Movie] ‎Don't Worry Darling | The Perfect Life That Wasn’t Perfect

Review by @mayt · 12h · of Don't Worry Darling · 2 views

At first, I really like the life they had in the movie. Everything looked perfect. The beautiful house... No worries about money... The husband going to work... And the wife staying at home, taking care of the house, cooking, and making sure everything was in order. They even had entertainment and a whole community that seemed to have everything they could possibly need. ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎Coz, who wouldn't want a life like that? 😅 These days, having enough money, a comfortable home, a loving husband with a stable job, and no major problems like the kind of peaceful life many of us dream about. ‎ ‎But what I didn't like was the twist of the story. ‎ ‎At first, I was admiring the perfect life they had, but then I found out that it wasn't real at all. 🥹 ‎

‎They were just actually lying down, unconscious while a machine created the life they were experiencing. ‎ ‎What bothered me even more was how the husband betrayed his wife. He wanted that perfect life so badly that he brought her into it without her real consent and made her believe that everything was real. ‎ ‎Alice was a nurse, and her job may have been tiring and stressful, but it was the life she chose. She had her own career, her own purpose, and a life outside. But instead of supporting her through that life, he decided that his idea of a "perfect life" was better for her. ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎It felt like he made her disappear from the real worlds, almost like she was already dead, while he continued living in a fantasy with her. And that's what made the betrayal hurt even more. ‎ ‎For me, Alice would rather have a difficult and tiring life that is real than live in a perfect world that isn't hers to choose. 🥹 And I think that's what made the story more emotional for me. ‎ ‎I think the idea was interesting, but I was a little disappointed with how everything turned out. 🥲 ‎ ‎For my favorite character... It's Alice, of course, played by Florence Pugh. ‎ ‎When she started noticing things that didn't make sense, I could really feel her fear and determination to find out the truth. She kept questioning what was happening, even when everyone around her made her feel like she was the problem. ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎For me, she did a great job showing her emotions. ❤️ ‎ ‎Also the writer did a good job as well with the twist. I honestly didn't see it coming. ‎ ‎Even though I didn't like how the story turned out, the fact that the twist affected my emotions shows that the movie successfully pulled me into the story.

Wow, a movie starring Harry Styles... I'm really interested, to be honest. 🤔
