Annihilation movie

This is from the writer and director of ex machina, which is not a good sign for me as I thought that movie was really overrated. Another bad sign is feminism over real casting. Why are all the soldiers female? When has this ever happened? Everyone knows it is mostly men in these situations. I have a hunch this movie will be pretentious and boring.
