Good day cinetv folk hope you're all enjoying the latest block busters to finally return, I have to admit I got abit worried about COVID impacts on cinema and the end of 2020 was quite scary knowing alot of film production came to a halt and I was devastated to learn that the witcher would be delayed amongst other awesome shows. Fortunately though delays weren't too bad and we've started to see many films commence and complete their seasons.
One of those new films stars one of my favourite actors Jason Stratham who leads a pretty decent cast on an action packed adventure that would typically surround a boring job. Transporting cash from banks and businesses to safe houses. The film opens up relatively mundane Jason gets a job and is met with some pretty crap work place new guy jokes.
We first coin onto something not being so straight forward when Jason's behaviour begin to emerge, we're told that he has a pistol license and that his not that good. But that is quickly dismissed when he dispatches an entire crew of vigilantes that attempt to rob the truck his tasked with transporting. His senior is also taken hostage and instead of following procedures Jason I should probably point out who is known as H in the film decides to kill everyone, seems like.his on a mission.
One of the people H takes out is a villin being played by none other than post Malone or as we call him at home Malon. H looks disappointed that he didn't find who he was looking for and we reflect on the opening of the film and that this has something to with it and H is on a mission.
While H is celebrated by his peers and promoted things begin to unravel as we move back and forward in time throughout the film learning more about H's back story and who he is.
Is the film Jason Stratham's best? Far from it but it is definitely a great film to keep you entertained throughout lockdown and beats watching reruns of Tiger King (side note I never watched Tiger king) It's also a wonderful precursor to films that are lining up to he released since the easing of restrictions and vaccines for COVID have been released.
After a long year of uncertainty this film reinstalls our love of film and stands as a great reminder that movie watching is a valuable pass time. I honestly felt like the world sat still without movies and not just crap films but we missed out on alot of block busters.
I'm preparing for the next season of lost in space and stranger things which will be released soon and more recently the trailer for the witcher season 2 was dropped with some changes that I'm not sure if I like as such. But time will tell how 2021 will recover and if we can get back to the films we all love to watch.
