Cinetvcontest - Two Villains/Extra Wicked But Loved

Review by @merit.ahama · 1385d · of Unknown

Have you seen a movie where every character is a suspect?

I could rank this kdrama series as one that had the most villains in it because every character was guilty of one sin or the other. There was no innocent one because the one I thought was not guilty turned out to be major cause of all the problem from the very start.

The movie I'm talking about is a Korean drama series that was released in 2020 and had up to 48 good episodes. It's a long one but I'll bet with you that you wouldn't want it to come to an end as they kept giving each scene a fresh suspense and curiosity to leave you with.

And that movie is...

The Penthouse (War in Life), a movie about power, greed, crime, marriage, bully, opera music, education, law, beauty, rivalries, friendship, families... All in one and if you've seen any movie with all these in it, you'll agree it's a total package.

I won't go into the movie fully as I'm just writing about it to announce to you my most favoured villains, the ones I've come to love not because they were good characters in the movie but because I love how evil they were and how well they played their role being evil.

Like I had said, all the characters were like villains in the movie but these two shone brighter with their evil.

Can evil be bright? Haha, I think this two villains proved it right...

I'm not sure we want to talk about how handsome looking this villain was in the movie, that would take a whole post haha. But do not be deceived by his looks, he can be so evil, you'd think the evil was done by a monstrous looking man. In this movie, he is the lead character who would do anything to raise his standards higher than it was.

He built a big Penthouse with the money he got from greed and stealing, he became so powerful and had people bow to him even though not literally. Anytime he smiles, we're in for another mischief he's embarking on. He does evil like it's his thing and was born to do it.

Can one kill his wife slowly to revenge a lie she said to him? This man can.

Can a human punish his own kids with cruelty? This man is so good at that.

Until he died in the movie, he was happy about his evil deeds and how well he lived in wealth doing those evil. He died with eyes opened as his Penthouse crumbled on him.

This man is Joo Dan Tae starred by Uhm Ki Joon, you can check him out. I'm still searching for other movies he has starred on to see more of his acting skills.

And my favourite female villain is from the same movie, I'm yet to see any villain I love more this woman. She is not just beautiful but very good with her acting skills as if she is actually like that in reality.

I've imagined a lot of times that villains in movies may actually be villains in reality and that imagination started when I saw this woman acting as a villain. Her role in the first and last movie I saw her in (Penthouse) was much but she made sure to leave a memory in my head with her acting.

She was a singer in the movie but had a rival who was better than her in singing, what she did to get rid of her rival are what I'll tag as being "Extra Wicked" but here's the funny thing, she does it as if it's the right thing to do especially when she gives her evil smile that comes out beautiful to me.

This villain is Cheon Seo Jin starred by Kim So Yeon, you should check her out as well.

These two villain characters remain my favourite up till date, not sure when they will be replaced but they are worth loving as villains for as long as the viewer can.

I'll recommend the movie to any who is interested to see some suspenseful with lots of crime accompanied movie, you'll love this two villains too.

This is my entry to Cinetvcontest and you're invited to participate as well.

Seems I'll try it out... Have seen a few with such villain like characters though but the story line will always be different. Nice post.... I'll talk more after I've watched them 😂

Wowwww... You know what's crazy about this Kdrama? It's not exactly the type of Kdrama I watch, but when I started watching this, I got completed soaked into the thrill.

48 freaking episodes? Wow! That's insane! I didn't even realize it was this long. I genuinely wanted more of this show. I can't get the soundtracks out of my head. Haha.

As for the adorable Villains, I enjoyed hating them. They are very adorable in their roleplay. The perfect kinda villains. Haha.
