"How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days" Review

Review by @merit.ahama 🏆#128 🔥1 🎵47 🎬115 📺119 · 18h · of How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days · 2 views

I was trying to remember some movies I've seen before and I did a search to bring out most movies from former years that were popular in their time. That's because even though I saw a lot of movie randomly, a lot of them I've seen were also because they were trending during their release time. So the search did bring out most.

But while it did, this movie came up on lot of top lists. It got me curious to know what was it about a 2003 (over 20 years old) that remained on the top list all these years. So I had it downloaded since a while now but finally got to see it yesterday, it was everything it is that got it there.

I've shared before that I am a fan of romantic movies with good comedy and "How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days" checks all the boxes, especially with the good comedy. I couldn't stop laughing in most of the scene, especially when the bet was on. Yeah, it's a movie about bet but this time, on a new level you may not have thought possible.

"How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days" is a feel-good romance and comedy movie released in the year 2003 starring Kate Hudson as Andie and Matthew McConaughey as Ben, the main characters of the story. It is a movie about the world of advertising, especially in the "How Tos" section. And also about a bet that got so intense.

Ben is an advertising executive competing with two female co-workers for a diamond merchant. He cuts a deal with his competitors that he wins if he makes the woman of their choice fall in love with him in 10 days. And there is Andie Anderson who is writing a story on how to lose a guy in 10 days as a bet with her boss to be allowed to write more substantial stories. Luckily and unluckily for them, they choose each other and both begins their mission unaware of the other's agenda.

The chemistry between the two even when Andie is trying all the gullible girlie things to push Ben away, was intense. If viewers were not aware of the bet, it would have been so easy to think they were so in love with each other. But it gets difficult for their bet as one tries to make the other fall in love but the other, the very opposite.

Over all, it's a good movie for some light and refreshing moment. It's about 2 hours and has some other supporting characters who made sure to add more comedy and intensity to the bet of the story. I especially love the family game scene, it felt homely just viewing it. I'd recommend it if you're yet to see the movie.

I watched this movie a long time ago. The chemistry between Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey makes the story so much fun.

I remember seeing it a few years ago and, to be honest, I quite liked it; besides, I do like romantic comedies – provided, of course, that they have a good plot – and this one, although a bit far-fetched, somehow manages to work.

I like it when emotions flow within the plot.
