I couldn't find sleep last night, I decided to see a movie from my long download list. I must say it takes longer than normal for me to decide on the movie to see next when I'm looking at the list, like I won't see the others. It's funny but I like that the few I've seen have been okay, except one old one.

A very old one actually, "Mary Poppins" but I can't review it, it was way too immature than I expected. I was even thinking it would be embarrassing to say I saw the movie after so many years later. Well, that's by the way, I'm here to review the next movie I saw which is also old movie but turned out really lovely and interesting.

"Pretty Woman" is quite simple for a movie title but it's understandable because it's over 30 years old (1990) since it's release. It's a movie in the feel-good romance and comedy genre starring Richard Gere as Edward Lewis Julia Roberts as Vivian Ward Jason Alexander as Philip Stuckey.

The story tells of a corporate raider (Edward) who have to run a business at Beverly Hills, California and hires a hooker (Vivian) as a business escort for his dates with his business associates. They met at a rather very random instance as he drives through her place of work (hooker's corner). She offers to drive for him as they went to the hotel at Beverly Hills and he accepted as she seem to know a lot about cars, she amuses him in many ways without realizing it. They spend a first night.

The two come into an agreement that Edward pays Vivian to spend the week with him until he's done with his business at California and return backs to where he belongs and she returns to her corner. Without realizing it, they slowly fall in love with each other and almost forgot who Vivian was by profession until something happened.

Well, you could say the story is quite predictable but I can almost bet you won't expect some scenes and how it plays out before the ending you could have predicted. Aside that, it's a beautiful story because it came very close to those fairytales we loved as children and I must say it was well played out by the lead characters.

I especially like the style of Julia Roberts in her role as Vivian, I'm not sure which movie I've seen her in before but I recognise her immediately in her younger self. I love how bubbly she was in the story, the vibes was there and I can totally get why she caught the heart of a top business man.

Over all, it's a nice movie and I'll recommend it for who wants to see some old and romantic movie.
