RAGS || A Nickelodeon Movie

I can't remember the last time I watched this movie but I can remember very clearly that I repeatedly watched this movie at that time because I fell in love with every scene and the music features it had.

Rags is a 2012 musical movie with a touch of Cinderella fairytale starred by "Keke Palmer" called "Kadee" and "Max Schneider" called "Charlie" as the major roles.

The Plot

It's about Charlie who is unfortunate to have lost his mother, was raised by his uncaring stepfather and living with his two stepbrothers. Charlie is so talented in music and loves to sing even while he was busy taking care of the karaoke his mother left for him.

And Kadee is a superstar in the music industry who was never allowed to sing her own songs as her dad (who is also her manager) thought her songs were not going to make sales even when he had not listened to her songs. Kadee longed for freedom to be herself and not the fake star she was.

The two stars met and also at a masquerade party where Charlie performed and got to dance with Kadee. Kadee fell for him even though she couldn't recognise him because he was on a mask, she decided to hold an audition to find him through his voice.

One of Charlie's step brother mischievously took Charlie's position during the audition but Kadee didn't felt right with him. All those times, she got closer to Charlie who was trying hard to pretend that he wasn't the one who sang at the masquerade party.

Kadee found out who Charlie was and Charlie made her sing her song in the presence of her dad and a lot of others. Kadee's father approved her songs. Kadee released her first original album featuring her love Charlie who sang so amazingly in it.

My Thoughts On The Movie

Only positive thoughts really, I loved the plot, the music and it's lyrics, the leads and the comedy it has. It felt like another kind of fairy tale with a different approach.

And I specifically love Charlie who was later called Rags as a stage name because of his passion in acting his role very well.

Rags movie teaches a lot on "Believing in yourself and keeping up your passion" and I can recall how much I sang the last solo song Kadee sang, the lyrics has so much meaning to it.

So have you seen this movie? If not, you should watch it because it's a must watch nickelodeon production.
