I missed the days of fairy tales; stories, that's what we called it back in the days, When Mom would read me stories that either took me to bed or that just made me smile when i needed it the most. These were days before I played ATARI and watched any movie at all. I loved cartoons though (we'll cover that on another) My favorite was DICK WITTINGTON But there were lots and lots of these if you asked me. Most were The Ladybird Series by Penguin Books in the UK and Enid Blyton. A few I read were:
- Jack and the beanstalk
- Little red riding hood
- Goldilocks and the three bears
- Hanzel and Gretel
- Rapunzel
- Snow White and the seven dwarves
- Beauty and the Beast
- Sleeping Beauty
- Three little pigs
- The Ladybird and the Butterfly
- The Elves and the Shoemaker
- The wizard of Oz
- Tales from the Jungle Book
- The books of Peter and Jane
- The Famous Five
- Peter and the Wolf
- The Old Woman and her pig
- Lost at Fair
- Our land in the making
- Chicken Licken
- The Princess and the frog
- The little red men
There are definitely lots more I do not remember.
So tell me, what was your favorite?
