Hola hive, hoy les vengo a hablar sobre una película que cuando vi el trailer me llamo mucho la atención y decidí que tenía que verla porque aunque es una película que ya salió hace varios años eso no quita que pueda ser bastante interesante, así que por esa razón es que hoy les quiero hablar de Coherence.
Coherence es una película de suspenso y ciencia ficción lanzada en el 2013, dirigida por James Ward Byrkit y protagonizada por Emily Baldoni, Maury Sterling, Nicholas Brendon, Elizabeth Gracen, Alex Manugian, Lauren Maher, Hugo Armstrong y Lorene Scafaria. La película nos muestra a un grupo de amigos que se reúnen para tener una cena común y corriente, pero todo está por cambiar ya que un cometa que va a pasar desencadena una serie de sucesos extraños que inquieta a nuestros protagonistas. Dicho esto después de haber dado un poco de contexto ahora si comencemos!
Cabe destacar que no conocía esta película, pero en estos días estaba viendo un vídeo donde la recomendaron y me llamo mucho la atención ya que en lo particular soy bastante fan de las películas de suspenso y “misterios”, así que Coherence tiene todas las características de una película de me gustaría asi Que la busqué, la puse en mi lista y hoy decidí por fin verla.
Primero siempre me gusta empezar hablando de lo que más me encanto de la película y en esta particularmente son dos cosas, una de ellas es la facilidad para crear suspenso (pero de eso hablaremos más adelante) y la manera en que muestran situaciones que poco a poco se van complementando, es decir, es como un conjunto de cabos que poco a poco se van juntando a medidas que nos van surgiendo más incógnitas, ahí es donde está la verdadera Magia de esta película.
La dirección de esta película me pareció bastante interesante porque si siento que es distinta y sabe como mantenernos en tensión y en suspenso absolutamente toda la película, con esos planos de cerca y muy irregulares que nos generan sienta incomodidad (desde un aspecto controlado) y esto funciona muy bien porque la película es relativamente corta, dura solo 1 hora y 20 min, asi Que me parece que esa tensión tan bien lograda en la película en parte es gracias al director.
El suspenso de Coherence es totalmente clave y se lo toman muy en serio, este es prácticamente el pilar principal de la película, es más prácticamente toda la película transcurre dentro de un mismo ambiente y utilizan todos estos recursos para transmitir esa sensación de “desesperacion” que es esencial.
Siento que coherence esta muy bien pensada y es que al principio parece como si fuese una compilación de momentos sin sentido que no van a llevar a ningún lado, pero esas ganas de saber que es lo que está pasando nos mantiene pendientes para después darnos cuenta que nada paso por casualidad y todo tiene su explicación.
En cuanto al final me gusta que aunque es bastante ambiguo pues si logran cerrar y explicar gran parte de lo que sucede en la película y aunque no logramos entender todo siento que esto le agrega un nivel de realismo bastante cool porque nos sentimos como otro personaje más dentro de la historia, o bueno así la intérprete yo y me gusto.
Si tuviese que dar dos referencias para que las personas se hagan una idea de cómo es esta película, yo diría que es una mezcla del famoso juego de mesa “Clue” porque siento yo que la dinámica entre los personajes y el ambiente tiene similitudes con la de este gran juego, y la otra referencia sería la serie “Dark” ya que en cuanto a la temática si tiene cierta similitud. Así que si ver esta mezcla te parecería interesante definitivamente debes darle una oportunidad de ver Coherence.
En conclusión me parece una gran película y eso que tenía expectativas bastante altas, pero ya desde que leí la descripción sabía que me iba a enganchar, admito que es una película que puede llegar a ser densa pero al final siento que es el objetivo, es decir es algo intencional, en cuanto a la historia se ve que está bien pensada y aunque no se nos da una verdad absoluta, se presta mucho para la interpretación y tal vez hay personas a la que no les guste eso, y entiendo, pero a mi en lo particular me encanta! Así que si te gusta el suspenso… totalmente recomendada!.

Hello hive, today I come to talk about a movie that when I saw the trailer caught my attention and I decided I had to see it because although it is a movie that came out several years ago that does not detract from the fact that it can be quite interesting, so for that reason is that today I want to talk about Coherence.
Coherence is a sci-fi thriller released in 2013, directed by James Ward Byrkit and starring Emily Baldoni, Maury Sterling, Nicholas Brendon, Elizabeth Gracen, Alex Manugian, Lauren Maher, Hugo Armstrong and Lorene Scafaria. The film shows us a group of friends who get together to have an ordinary dinner, but everything is about to change as a passing comet triggers a series of strange events that unsettles our protagonists. That said, after having given a little context, let's get started!
It should be noted that I didn't know this movie, but these days I was watching a video where it was recommended and it caught my attention because I'm a big fan of suspense movies and "mysteries", so Coherence has all the characteristics of a movie I would like so I looked it up, put it on my list and today I finally decided to watch it.
First I always like to start talking about what I loved the most about the movie and in this particular one there are two things, one of them is the ease to create suspense (but we will talk about that later) and the way they show situations that little by little are complementing each other, that is, it is like a set of ends that little by little are coming together as more unknowns arise, that's where the real magic of this movie is.
I found the direction of this film quite interesting because I feel that it is different and knows how to keep us in tension and suspense throughout the entire film, with those close and very irregular shots that make us feel uncomfortable (from a controlled aspect) and this works very well because the film is relatively short, lasting only 1 hour and 20 minutes, so I think that the tension so well achieved in the film is partly thanks to the director.
The suspense of Coherence is totally key and they take it very seriously, this is practically the main pillar of the film, in fact practically the whole film takes place in the same environment and they use all these resources to transmit that feeling of "desperation" which is essential.
I feel that coherence is very well thought out and at the beginning it seems as if it were a compilation of meaningless moments that are not going to lead anywhere, but that desire to know what is going on keeps us pending to later realize that nothing happened by chance and everything has its explanation.
As for the ending I like that although it is quite ambiguous, they manage to close and explain much of what happens in the film and although we do not understand everything I feel that this adds a level of realism quite cool because we feel like another character in the story, or well so I interpreted it and I like it.
If I had to give two references for people to get an idea of how this movie is, I would say that it is a mixture of the famous board game "Clue" because I feel that the dynamics between the characters and the environment has similarities with this great game, and the other reference would be the series "Dark" because in terms of the theme if it has some similarity. So if you find this mix interesting you should definitely give it a chance to see Coherence.
In conclusion I think it's a great movie and that I had pretty high expectations, but since I read the description I knew I was going to hook me, I admit it's a movie that can become dense but in the end I feel that is the goal, that is something intentional, as for the story is well thought out and although we are not given an absolute truth, it lends itself to interpretation and perhaps there are people who do not like that, and I understand, but I particularly love it! So if you like suspense... totally recommended.
