Hola hive, hoy les quiero hablar de una película que me habían recomendado pero no le había prestado mucha atención hasta que decidí investigar un poco más de la misma, ahí despertó un interés en mi para ver esta película así que por eso es que hoy les quiero hablar de The Grand Budapest Hotel
The Grand Budapest Hotel es una película de comedia lanzada en el 2014 inspirada en las obras de Stefan Zweig, protagonizada por Ralph Fiennes y Tony Revolori, escrita y dirigida por el gran Wes Anderson. Esta película nos presenta una curiosa historia con una mezcla entre drama/comedia y un enigma de por medio. Ahora si, dicho esto, comencemos!
Cabe destacar que para ser sincero antes de que me recomendaran esta película no sabía de que se trataba, es decir, si había escuchado el nombre de “the Grand Budapest Hotel” pero no sabía ni cuál era la trama ni nada relacionado con esta, así que cuando investigue y vi que era una comedia, vi el elenco y vi quien la dirigió, definitivamente decidí darle una oportunidad
Primero siempre me gusta empezar hablando de lo que más me encanto en esta película y sin duda es todo el aspecto visual y es que realmente siento que es donde más destaca esta película porque así no tengamos mucho conocimientos de cine solo con ver cada una de las escenas nos podemos dar cuenta que tiene una estética diferente a la mayoría de las películas que vemos comúnmente.
La dirección de The Grand Budapest Hotel es verdaderamente increíble y es que desde las primeras escenas podemos ver que la dirección va a ser protagonista en esta película, tiene unos planos bastante curiosos porque normalmente suelen ser bastante estáticos y la mayoría de los movimientos se sienten muy perfectos y precisos, todo esto aunque parezcan pequeños detalles le dan una vibra muy característica a esta película que la hace visualmente atractiva y enganchante.
La historia me parece bastante entretenida y es que admito que al principio me sentía un poco perdido porque no entendía muy bien que estaba pasando, pero cuando nos metemos de lleno en la historia y en cada uno de los personajes es cuando empieza a fluir la película y donde realmente se empieza a disfrutar.
Como siempre lo he dicho los personajes en una buena comedia son claves ya que es necesario que tengan personalidades muy claras y definidas porque esto es lo que va a generar ese efecto absurdo que muchas veces buscamos en este tipo de comedias, obviamente esta película tiene esto en claro y lo lleva al extremo ya que en muchos momentos se siente extremadamente absurda pero en el mejor de los sentidos, no solo porque gusta sino que ademas se siente que es a posta.
Algo que me gusto mucho es que es una película relativamente corta, actualmente mucha de las películas suelen pasar de las dos horas y dependiendo de la película esto puede llegar a ser pesado, sin embargo esta película sintetiza su historia en 1 hora y 30 min aproximadamente haciendo que tenga un buen ritmo.
En cuanto a las actuaciones obviamente no tengo ninguna duda, considero que esta película tiene un excelente cast, pero en si los protagonistas hacen un excelente trabajo tanto Ralph Fiennes como Tony Revolori que obviamente es lo que más me gusto de esta película, Zero es la esencia de esta película y el verdadero protagonista de la historia.
Hay algo que me llamo mucho la atención y es que la mayoría del tiempo la sensación que me da esta película es muy de teatro y me gusta pensar que esto fue pensado, ya que esto se alinea con que es una historia contada desde la perspectiva de uno de nuestros protagonistas dándole ese efecto exagerado y dando esa impresión como si al final estuviesen consientes de que es una actuación, tal vez solo Sean ideas mias pero siento que de cualquier manera se alinea con la experiencia de la película así que indiferentemente lo tomo como un punto positivo.
El final de The Grand Budapest Hotel cumple con lo que se espera, obviamente no es un final increíble sino se sienta como lo que es, el fin de una historia, ese sentimiento de nostalgia cargado de cariño de los momentos vividos se logra transmitir perfectamente, así que por esta razón es que considero que es un buen cierre.
En conclusión me parece un gran final y una clase de cómo hacer una película con una dirección fuera de lo común y un poco arriesgada pero que logra funcionar, siento que es una obra maestra en cuanto a dirección y solo por esto vale la pena echarle un vistazo, ya de ahí en adelante la entretenida trama y el excelente ritmo de la película es un plus.

This film presents us with a curious story with a mix between drama/comedy and an enigma in between. Now yes, that said, let's get started!
To be honest, before I was recommended this movie I didn't know what it was about, I had heard the name "The Grand Budapest Hotel" but I didn't know what the plot was or anything related to it, so when I researched and saw that it was a comedy, saw the cast and saw who directed it, I definitely decided to give it a chance.
First I always like to start talking about what I love the most in this movie and without a doubt is the visual aspect and I really feel that is where this movie stands out because even if we don't have much knowledge of cinema just by watching each of the scenes we can realize that it has a different aesthetic to most of the movies we commonly see.
The direction of The Grand Budapest Hotel is truly incredible and from the first scenes we can see that the direction is going to be the protagonist in this film, it has some quite curious shots because they are usually quite static and most of the movements feel very perfect and precise, all this although they seem small details give a very characteristic vibe to this film that makes it visually attractive and engaging.
The story seems to me quite entertaining and I admit that at the beginning I felt a little lost because I did not understand very well what was happening, but when we get fully into the story and each of the characters is when the film begins to flow and where you really start to enjoy.
As I have always said the characters in a good comedy are key because it is necessary that they have very clear and defined personalities because this is what will generate that absurd effect that we often seek in this type of comedies, obviously this film has this clear and takes it to the extreme because in many moments it feels extremely absurd but in the best sense, not only because it likes it but also because it feels like it is on purpose.
Something that I really liked is that it is a relatively short film, nowadays many of the movies usually go over two hours and depending on the film this can become heavy, however this film synthesizes its story in about 1 hour and 30 minutes making it have a good pace.
As for the performances obviously I have no doubt, I consider that this film has an excellent cast, but if the protagonists do an excellent job both Ralph Fiennes and Tony Revolori is obviously what I liked most of this film, Zero is the essence of this film and the true protagonist of the story.
There is something that caught my attention and that is that most of the time the feeling that this film gives me is very theatrical and I like to think that this was thought out, as this aligns with it being a story told from the perspective of one of our protagonists giving it that exaggerated effect and giving that impression as if in the end they were aware that it is a performance, maybe they are just my ideas but I feel that either way it aligns with the experience of the film so I indifferently take it as a positive point.
The ending of The Grand Budapest Hotel fulfills what is expected, obviously it is not an incredible ending but it feels like what it is, the end of a story, that feeling of nostalgia loaded with affection for the moments lived is perfectly conveyed, so for this reason is that I consider it a good closure.
In conclusion I think it's a great ending and a lesson on how to make a film with a direction out of the ordinary and a little risky but that manages to work, I feel it's a masterpiece in terms of direction and only for this is worth a look, and from there on the entertaining plot and the excellent pace of the film is a plus.
