Hola hive, hoy les vengo a hablar sobre una serie que desde que fue anunciada me llamo la atención por diversos factores, y después de una espera por fin llegó la hora de ver los capítulos 2 - 3 - 4, y dar mi opinión al respecto, por eso es que hoy les quiero hablar de nada más y nada menos que The Last Of Us
The Last Of Us es una serie lanzada en el 2023 basada en el videojuego homónimo que fue lanzada en el 2013 para PlayStation, es una seria de HBO escrita por Craig Mazin, Neil Druckmann y protagonizada por Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsay y Gabriela Luna. Me atrevería a decir que es uno de los lanzamientos más recientes y relevantes de HBO y por eso es que quiero dar mi opinión sobre los Episodio 2,3 y 4, Temporada 1. Dicho esto comencemos!
Cabe destacar que el primer capítulo de esta serie me dejo totalmente impactado, como dije en mi post anterior soy demasiado fan de este videojuego y que le hayan hecho una serie para mi es totalmente un sueño, el capítulo 1 estuvo totalmente a la altura del videojuego, así que después de esperar un buen rato debido a que no había tenido tiempo para ver los episodios, ahora si podré hablar sobre los capítulos que han salido y así ponerme al día con esta gran serie.
Empecemos hablando de cada uno de los capítulos por individual y así al final dar una breve conclusión de como pinta el rumba de esta serie.
Episodio 2.
Este episodio siento que es la representación del videojuego en si, un gran porcentaje de información se transmite a través de diálogos mientras caminan por una ciudad totalmente abandonada, la escena de suspenso con los clickers es igual a la experiencias del videojuego y todos esto se mezcla para ir dándole forma a la historia, en este capítulo empezamos a observar cambios en la dinámica entre los personajes, como se relacionan entre sí y este capítulo en donde siento que realmente empieza la travesía de estos personajes principales, obviamente el episodio uno pone las bases en la que se va a desarrollar la historia, pero es en este Capítulo donde florece la esencia de The Last Of Us, además de que profundiza en el origen hongo, y como hizo este para reproducirse de una forma absurda, que por cierto, el inicio de este capítulo ha sido de mis cosas favoritas de la serie.
Episodio 3.
Al hablar de este episodio quiero destacar el como a la hora de hacer una adaptación hay que saber elegir que información del material original utilizar y a cuál hay que darle la vuelta para que funcione mejor en el formato en el que se está adaptando, en esta parte de la historia el videojuego no recae en profundizar en el personaje de Bill, es decir, es simplemente una persona clave para hacer que Joel y Ellie lleguen a su objetivo, en cambio en esta serie quisieron hacer todo lo contrario, mostrándonos en un episodio una de las mejores historias de amor y desarrollo de personaje que he visto últimamente, me acuerdo que al principio del capítulo me cuestioné ¿Por que nos muestran esto? Y al final caí en cuenta que cada escena tiene su razón de ser, entendemos absolutamente todo de este personaje y logramos empatizar tanto con el que hasta que se nos olvida que estamos viendo the last of us y no una película. El nivel de guion de este episodio es perfecto y aunque es un gran historia el aporte que hace a la trama general de la serie vale la pena, sin duda uno de los mejores capítulos y una muestra de cómo hacer una buena adaptación.
Episodio 4
Ya en este episodio empezamos a ver cómo mejora la amistad entre Joel y Ellie, Ellie pasa de ser una simple carga a ser una amiga/hija, haciendo que ya no sólo quiera protegerla por un bien global sino que además si bienestar llena el vacío que tiene Joel, creando así entre ellos una buena química, química que es fundamental en el videojuego y que vemos cómo empieza a crecer en la serie, este episodio tiene momentos de acción bastante interesantes, nos muestra una subtrama de un grupo de personas de la que desconocíamos su existencia, nos deja con un final nos pone ansiosos para esperar al próximo capítulo pero como ya dije siento que el objetivo de este capítulo es regar esa relación entre Joel y ellie.
Conclusión:
Me llama mucho la atención ver cómo varios capítulos de una misma serie tienen objetivos distintos en cada uno de los capítulos pero a su vez cada uno de ellos suma mucho a la historia principal, todo tiene su razón de ser y se complementa perfectamente entre sí, obviamente hay capítulos mejores que otro pero en general me sorprende el nivel de calidad que está manteniendo esta serie, tiene momentos emotivos que nos erizan la piel, pero también escenas de acción que sorprenden, es una serie muy completa y hasta los momentos no tengo ninguna queja, cuando decide ser fiel al videojuego es espectacular pero igual cuando decide salirse de este margen nos regalan momentos increíbles, cada capítulo sube mis expectativas por esta serie, ojalá siga manteniendo este gran ritmo.

It should be noted that the first episode of this series left me totally shocked, as I said in my previous post I am too much a fan of this video game and that they have made a series for me is totally a dream, Chapter 1 was totally at the height of the video game, so after waiting a while because I had not had time to watch the episodes, now if I can talk about the chapters that have come out and thus catch up with this great series.
Let's start talking about each one of the chapters individually and at the end give a brief conclusion of how the rumba of this series looks like.
Episode 2.
This episode I feel that is the representation of the video game itself, a large percentage of information is transmitted through dialogues while walking through a totally abandoned city, the suspense scene with the clickers is equal to the experiences of the video game and all this is mixed to give shape to the story, in this chapter we begin to observe changes in the dynamics between the characters, how they relate to each other and this chapter where I feel that really begins the journey of these main characters, obviously episode one lays the foundation on which the story will develop, but it is in this chapter where the essence of The Last Of Us flourishes, plus it delves into the fungus origin, and how did this to reproduce in an absurd way, which by the way, the beginning of this chapter has been my favorite things in the series.
Episode 3.
When talking about this episode I want to emphasize how when making an adaptation you have to know how to choose which information from the original material to use and which one you have to turn around to make it work better in the format in which it is being adapted, in this part of the story the video game does not fall to deepen the character of Bill, that is to say, he is simply a key person to make Joel and Ellie reach their goal, instead in this series they wanted to do the opposite, showing us in one episode one of the best love stories and character development I've seen lately, I remember that at the beginning of the chapter I wondered why they show us this? And in the end I realized that every scene has its reason to be, we understand absolutely everything about this character and we can empathize with him so much that we forget that we are watching the last of us and not a movie. The script level of this episode is perfect and although it is a great story the contribution it makes to the general plot of the series is worth it, undoubtedly one of the best chapters and a sample of how to make a good adaptation.
Episode 4
Already in this episode we begin to see how the friendship between Joel and Ellie improves, Ellie goes from being a simple burden to be a friend / daughter, making it no longer just want to protect her for a global good but also if welfare fills the void that Joel has, thus creating between them a good chemistry, chemistry that is fundamental in the video game and we see how it begins to grow in the series, this episode has quite interesting moments of action, it shows us a subplot of a group of people of which we did not know its existence, it leaves us with an ending that makes us anxious to wait for the next chapter but as I said I feel that the objective of this chapter is to water that relationship between Joel and Ellie.
Conclusion:
I am very struck to see how several chapters of the same series have different objectives in each of the chapters but in turn each of them adds a lot to the main story, everything has its reason for being and complements each other perfectly, obviously there are chapters better than another but overall I am surprised by the level of quality that is maintaining this series, it has emotional moments that make our skin crawl, but also action scenes that surprise us, it is a very complete series and so far I have no complaints, when it decides to be faithful to the video game is spectacular but also when it decides to leave this margin we are given incredible moments, each chapter raises my expectations for this series, I hope it continues to maintain this great pace.
