Desde hace unos días me he dado la tarea de revisitar algunas películas, ya sea porque han formado parte de mi infancia o simplemente porque me gustan, por eso hoy quiero hablarles sobre the parent trap.
For the past few days I have been revisiting some movies, either because they have been part of my childhood or simply because I like them, so today I want to talk to you about the parent trap.
The parent trap (o Juego de Gemelas como se le conoce en Latinoamérica) es una película estadounidense lanzada en 1998, protagonizada por Lindsay Lohan, Dennis Quaid y Natasha Richardson, la película esta basada en el libro Las dos Carlotas además de ser un remake de la película de 1961 que tiene el mismo nombre.
The Parent Trap is an American film released in 1998, starring Lindsay Lohan, Dennis Quaid and Natasha Richardson, the film is based on the book Das doppelte Lottchen and is a remake of the 1961 film of the same name.
La película nos muestra a Hallie y Annie, dos gemelas que irónicamente no saben que son gemelas, ya que fueron separadas por sus padres al nacer, ambas por coincidencia de la vida asisten al mismo campamento de verano y era cuestión de tiempo para que cayeran en cuenta que efectivamente son gemelas y todo esto transcurre como en menos de 20 minutos de la película, ya que la trama principal es que Annie y Hallie intercambian sus roles para conocer a su padre o a su madre respectivamente, y hacer que ellos se junten y se enamoren otra vez.
The film shows us Hallie and Annie, two twins who ironically do not know they are twins, as they were separated by their parents at birth, both by coincidence of life attend the same summer camp and it was a matter of time for them to realize that they are indeed twins and all this happens in less than 20 minutes of the film, as the main plot is that Annie and Hallie exchange their roles to meet their father or mother respectively, and make them get together and fall in love again.
Quiero empezar diciendo que considero que la película a envejecido, aunque en mayoría de escenas Annie y Hallie no aparecen en la misma toma (ya que ambas obviamente son interpretada por lindsay lohan), en la escenas donde salen las dos se ve muy real, indiferentemente de la técnica que hayan usado les funcionó porque se ve muy bien.
I want to start by saying that I think the film has aged, although in most scenes Annie and Hallie do not appear in the same shot (since both are obviously played by Lindsay Lohan), in the scenes where they both appear it looks very real, regardless of the technique they used it worked because it looks very good.
La actuaciones son muy buenas en especial la de lindsay lohan, me parece que hizo un trabajo increíble y que no se puede pasar por alto, no cualquiera podría lograr un resultado como el que ella ofreció.
The performances are very good, especially that of Lindsay Lohan, I think she did an incredible job and that can not be overlooked, not anyone could achieve a result like the one she offered.
En cuanto la trama está muy bien, es una bonita historia de amor, pero con buenos toques de comedia pero todo en un tono muy familiar obviamente, es de esas películas que no tienes que prestarle mucha atención y se hace súper ligera.
As for the plot it's very good, it's a nice love story, but with good touches of comedy but all in a very familiar tone obviously, it's one of those movies that you don't have to pay much attention to it and it becomes super light.
Esta película es un clásico, no por nada se ha mantenido vigente más de 20 años, y hasta la fecha puedo ver esta película y disfrutarla sin ningún problema.
This movie is a classic, no wonder it has been around for over 20 years, and to this day I can watch this movie and enjoy it without any problem.
