Un muy bien thriller psicológico, que realmente no es una película de terror como tal, contando con un guión y una historia que en líneas generales están bien, a pesar de que ya la hemos visto antes. Hay mucho suspenso en la película, lo cual la mantiene entretenida en todo momento, aunque a mi parecer, le faltó un poco más de chispa, tratar de hacer algo nuevo, ya que se me hizo muy predecible desde que le agarre el hilo a la historia.

Sarah Paulson como la madre realiza un papel simplemente magnífico (aunque ya me gustaría empezar a ver a esta actriz en otros papeles además de la mujer psicópata), al igual que la recién llegada Kiera Allen, regalándonos una buena actuación llena de nerviosismo, tensión y locura, lo cual nos hace encariñarnos con el personaje de Allen y solo desear que logré salir del manicomio donde está sumergida.
Sarah Paulson as the mother plays a simply magnificent role (although I would like to start seeing this actress in other roles besides the psychopathic woman), like the newcomer Kiera Allen, giving us a good performance full of nervousness, tension and insanity, which makes us become attached to the character of Allen and only wish that I managed to get out of the asylum where it is submerged.

Chloe crece bajo el yugo de su madre, pero con el pasar de los años empieza a sospechar que su madre no es lo que parece, ya que le oculta algunas cosas, negándole hasta salir a recibir el correo (ya que espera una carta muy especial), cambie su medicamento, entre otras cosas.

A pesar de toda la locura que vemos en esta cinta se pueden concluir ciertas cosas que nos pueden ayudar como reflexión, poniendo primero que todo lo que son las enfermedades mentales, muy polémicas y aún no tomadas en cuenta por todos hoy en día. Vemos todas las cosas horribles que tuve que soportar Chloe por su madre, pero hay que ver qué ella pensaba que solo estaba haciendo "lo mejor por su hija", siendo incapaz de ver el comportamiento atroz que tenía.

Otro problema que se puede analizar era el miedo irracional de la madre por quedarse sola, motivo principal para cometer las mayoría de cosas que hizo, ya que como perdió a su verdadera hija, siempre sintió que le podría volver a suceder lo mismo, por lo que se aferró a la idea de Chloe junto a ella por el mayor tiempo posible. Esto nos deja una enseñanza para analizar a las mujeres que puedan sufrir por una situación como aquella, para ayudarlas a ellas, como a cualquier a su alrededor.
Another problem that can be analyzed was the mother's irrational fear of being left alone, the main reason for committing most of the things she did, since since she lost her real daughter, she always felt that the same thing could happen to her again, so that she held on to the idea of Chloe next to her for as long as possible. Para concluir es una buena película que te recomiendo que veas, no me parece una obra de arte, pero cumple muy bien su objetivo además que nos mantiene casi todo el filme en un estado de tensión y a la expectativa de que nueva forma horrible la madre utilizará para "mantener sana y salva a su hija", contando una escena final que te llena de satisfacción.
