Estamos ante la séptima película de una de las más exitosas franquicias de terror de los últimos años, que después de varios entregas en las que se ramificaron, con sagas de películas como Annabelle, por ejemplo, ahora volvemos al inicio de todo, con un nuevo caso de los investigadores paranormales Ed y Lorraine Warren, enfrentando uno de los casos más oscuros de su carrera, que al mismo tiempo está basado en los archivos reales de la pareja.
We are facing the seventh film of one of the most successful horror franchises of recent years, which after several installments in which they branched out, with movie sagas like Annabelle, for example, now we return to the beginning of everything, with a new case of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, facing one of the darkest cases of their careers, which at the same time is based on the real files of the couple.
El comienzo de la cinta es muy fuerte, ya que entramos de lleno en el exorcismo de uno niño de 11 años en Connecticut, durante el cual, a pesar de la experiencia de la pareja y de contar con un sacerdote practicante de exorcismos, el demonio les supere y con creces. Después del exorcismo, Ed termina con problemas cardiovasculares, por lo que la pareja se centra en su recuperación y dan por terminado ese exorcismo. Con el pasar de los días, Arne empieza a tener visiones y pesadillas, empeorando cada vez más su estado mental y físico, hasta que en un momento de alucinaciones y dominio del demonio, el chico termina matando a su cacero con un cuchillo, argumentando que el diablo lo obligó a hacerlo. Lo que provoca que llamen nuevamente a los Warren para tratar de ayudarlo en el juicio.

En cuanto a la parte visual, muy clásico y me hubiera gustado algo más refrescante e innovador, pero tampoco estuvo del todo mal.

As for the visual part, very classic and I would have liked something more refreshing and innovative, but it wasn't bad either.
En conclusión, es un filme con algunos problemas, pero aún así esto no le quita lo entretenida, y como siempre pasa en películas de este género, habrá personas a quienes les guste porque es un terror más ligero y otros que esperan temblar de miedo durante toda la cinta (yo soy un poco más del segundo), por lo que he visto que hay muchas opiniones diferentes. Otro dato interensante es que en la vida real, este caso fue la primera vez en la historia de Estados Unidos donde se alego posesión demoníaca como defensa de un delito.
In conclusion, it is a film with some problems, but even so this does not take away from the fun, and as always happens in films of this genre, there will be people who like it because it is a lighter terror and others who expect to tremble with fear during the whole tape (I am a little more of the second), from what I have seen that there are many different opinions. Another interesting fact is that in real life, this case was the first time in the history of the United States where demonic possession was alleged as a defense of a crime.
